Classics is the second full-length album from Ratatat, released on August 22, 2006. As with their first album, Classics is almost entirely instrumental, with the only exception being a large cat-like sound sample used in "Wildcat."

During a September 15, 2006 interview on radio station KEXP, the band revealed that part of the album was recorded in upstate New York in a house owned by Björk.

This album produced three singles: "Lex", "Wildcat", and "Loud Pipes".

The track "Tropicana" was featured in the 2007 film "Knocked Up".

Wild Cat aka Coacoochee or Cowacoochee (from Creek Kowakkuce "bobcat, wildcat") (c. 1807/1810–1857) was a leading Seminole chieftain during the later stages of the Second Seminole War as well as the nephew of Micanopy.

Wild Cat's exact place year and place of birth is not agreed upon. Many local scholars believe he was born in 1807 on an island in big Lake Tohopekaliga, south of Orlando. Some scholars say Wild Cat was born to King Philip (or Ee-mat-la) in Yulaka, a Seminole village along the St. Johns River in northern Florida around 1810. Still others suggest that he was born near present day Apopka, Florida. Wild Cat may have had a twin sister who died at birth and, having been born a twin, he was regarded by the tribe as being particularly gifted. As tensions mounted between Seminoles and local settlers following the purchase of Florida by the United States in 1821, Seminole tribes encouraged the escape of slaves in neighboring Georgia in reaction to encroaching settlers who began settling on the Florida coast previously occupied by Seminoles.

Wildcat is a wooden roller coaster located at Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The coaster opened on May 26, 1996, as the anchor attraction of the Midway America section of the park. Wildcat was the first coaster built by Great Coasters International, and initially ran with trains built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company until 2007 when they were replaced with GCI's Millennium Flyer trains.

History

The ride was named after Wild Cat (Hersheypark), Hersheypark's first roller coaster, which operated from 1923-1945.

Ride experience

Like many other GCI coasters, Wildcat contains a curved first drop to reduce chances of nausea. There is an on-ride camera located towards the end of the ride prior to the final brake run.

Characteristics

The ride was known for being extremely rough and painful while operating with the original trains. After the ride was retrofitted with Millennium Flyer trains, guests and enthusiasts alike noticed that the ride was less painful but retained its original roughness.

Kiss (キス, Kisu) is the second EP released by Chara, which was released on September 24, 2008 (two months after her 12th original album, Honey). It was her first EP marketed as a mini-album as opposed to a single. It debuted at #30 on the Japanese Oricon album charts, and charted in the top 300 for six weeks.

The EP comprises three covers and two versions of one original song. Kieru (きえる, Disappear) was used as the theme song for the film version of the novel Snakes and Earrings (蛇にピアス, Hebi ni Piasu). The song Kiss is a different version of Kieru, featuring the same arrangement but different lyrics. The lyrics of both songs were written in collaboration with Snakes and Earrings author Hitomi Kanehara, with Kanehara primarily writing Kieru and Chara primarily writing Kiss.

The cover tracks are Tomorrow, a cover of the song from the 1977 musical Annie, Time After Time, a cover of the hit 1984 single by Cyndi Lauper and Ya Ya (Ano Toki o Wasurenai) (あの時代を忘れない, I Won't Forget Those Times), a cover of Japanese rock band Southern All Stars' 1982 single. Tomorrow was used in Astellas Pharma commercials. Time After Time, a duet with Super Butter Dogs vocalist Hanaregumi, had already been released on the 2008 compilation album We Love Cyndi – Tribute to Cyndi Lauper released two months prior.

Kiss is a 2009 thriller novel by Christian author Ted Dekker and Erin Healy.

Plot summary

Shauna McAllister is unable to recall past events and it all started six weeks after a car accident that left her suffering a coma. She doesn’t recall anything about the accident, as well as the months leading up to the accident. Alligations surface that effect Shauna, and her father, Landon McAllister. Landon is head of McAllister MediVista, a pharmaceutical research company, who is a senator that has his eyes on the White House. Shauna is somewhat aware that something stands in the way for their relationship to be reconciled. Her brother Rudy who is her only ally, and her father’s favorite is the victim in the very accident she is being blamed for.

Shauna turns to Wayne Spade, her forgotten boyfriend, to help her piece things together to figure out the events that led up to the accident. On her journey for answers she discovers a mental ability which causes more questions to be raised. She begins to lose trust in all those around her, and it starts to become clear that those around her are determined to keep her from recovering her memories that she pursues.

Kiss (2003) is an darkwave/electronic album by Dianna St. Hilaire, better known as Versailles.

In 2003, Versailles released her first full-length album Live Your Life. Later that year, she created an all-electronic single called "Kiss", breaking away from the previous heavier guitar-based sound. The single was written, produced, mixed and mastered by St. Hilaire. This was released in late 2003 on a limited number of CD-R's. The album is a rare find and is available on her website.
