Frōzen Ghōst was a Canadian rock band formed in 1985 in Toronto by Arnold Lanni and Wolf Hassel who were previously with the band Sheriff. The band received a Juno Award for "Most Promising Group of the Year" in 1987.
"Should I See", an anti-censorship song, became a minor hit in the United States, reaching number 69 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles in 1987. The video for that song was also nominated at the 1987 Juno Awards for "Best Video of the Year".
The group was formed out of the ashes of the band, Sheriff, who had disbanded after an (at that point) unsuccessful run on the music charts. Sheriff rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Arnold Lanni and bassist Wolf Hassel decided to form a new group, and Frozen Ghost was born.
On their first two albums, Frōzen Ghōst and Nice Place to Visit, the band were originally a studio duo, with Lanni singing lead vocals and playing all the guitar and keyboard parts, in addition to being credited as the sole songwriter, while Hassel played bass. Their first two albums featured guest musicians, such as Derry Grehan, lead guitarist of Honeymoon Suite. The drums, however, were sequenced on a computer rather than being played by a human drummer. While Lanni may have programmed the drums himself, the actual programmer is uncredited and unknown. On their final album, Shake Your Spirit there were three official additions to the band: John Bouvette, who was on drums and percussion, Sammy De Bartel on keyboards and Phil X who played the guitar and did some vocals. Phil X was also credited on the album Nice Place to Visit for being a guitarist, but was not considered an official band member until the final album was released.
Frozen Ghost is the debut album of the band Frozen Ghost, released in 1987. Its first single, "Should I See" (a song about censorship) reached #69 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The run-out groove of side two on the LP contains unintelligible speech. When played backwards, a voice (presumably Arnold Lanni's) says, "You are ruining your needle!"
The cover picture was taken in Scarborough, Ontario (a suburb of Toronto) at the foot of the Scarborough Bluffs.
All songs written by Arnold Lanni.
The following singles were released from the album, with the highest charting positions listed.
The third season of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants, created by Stephen Hillenburg, aired on Nickelodeon from October 5, 2001 to October 11, 2004, and consists of 20 episodes. The series chronicles the exploits and adventures of the title character and his various friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom. The season was executive produced by series creator Hillenburg, who also acted as the showrunner. Hillenburg halted production on the show to work on the 2004 film adaptation of the series, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. After production on the film, Hillenburg resigned from the show as its showrunner, and appointed staff writer Paul Tibbitt to overtake the position. Season 3 was originally set to end the series after the release of the film, but the success prevented the series from ending, leading to a fourth season.
The season was well received by media critics and fans. During its run, SpongeBob SquarePants became the highest rated children's show on cable, with over 50 million viewers a month. The show received several recognition, including its nomination at the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Children's Program. The episodes "New Student Starfish" and "Clams" were nominated for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour) category, while the entry "SpongeBob B.C. (Ugh)" won the same category. The season was also the first time the show received a nomination at the Kids' Choice Awards and won. It won the 2003 Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite Cartoon, and also won the following year's Kids' Choice Award for the same category. Celebrities—including Justin Timberlake, Kelly Osbourne, Britney Spears, Bruce Willis, Noel Gallagher, rapper Dr. Dre, and Mike Myers—have been reported to be fans of the show.
SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. The series is set in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom, and centers on the adventures and endeavors of SpongeBob SquarePants, an over-optimistic sea sponge that annoys other characters. Many of the ideas for the show originated in an unpublished, educational comic book titled The Intertidal Zone, which Hillenburg created in the mid-1980s. He began developing SpongeBob SquarePants into a television series in 1996 upon the cancellation of Rocko's Modern Life, another Nickelodeon television series which Hillenburg previously directed.
Since its debut on May 1, 1999,SpongeBob SquarePants has broadcast 194 episodes, and its ninth season premiered on July 21, 2012.The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, a feature-length film, was released in theaters on November 19, 2004 and grossed over US$140 million worldwide.Atlantis SquarePantis, a television film guest starring David Bowie, debuted as part of the fifth season. I wanna live
I wanna leave
I wanna open up and breathe
I wanna go
I wanna be
I wanna feel it constantly
Gotta show
Gotta stay
I've gotta feeling that won't go away
I've gotta know
If they got away
My opportunities
Just one,
Chance is all I ever wanted
Just one,
Time I'd like to win the game
From now on,
I'd take the chance if I can have it
Just one, just one
I need to think
I need to feed
I need to see if I still bleed
I need a place
I need a time
Cause I need to step outside that line
Gonna give
Gonna take
I'm gonna scream till I'm awake
I'm gonna push
Gonna pull
Open up the door
Just one,
Chance is all I ever wanted
Just one,
Time I'd like to win the game
From now on,
I'd take the chance if I can have it
Just one, just one
And if I knew
When the door was open
I'd go through
I would go on through
And I can say
What I do never be the same
Never be the same
Just one,
Chance is all I ever wanted
Just one,
Time I'd like to win the game
From now on,
I'd take the chance if I can have it
Just one, just one
Just one,
I'd take the chance if I can have it
Just one,
I'd take the chance if I can have it
Just one,
I'd take the chance if I can have it
