Fun is the enjoyment of pleasure, particularly in leisure activities. Fun is an experience — short-term, often unexpected, informal, not cerebral and generally purposeless. It is an enjoyable distraction, diverting the mind and body from any serious task or contributing an extra dimension to it. Although particularly associated with recreation and play, fun may be encountered during work, social functions, and even seemingly mundane activities of daily living. It may often have little to no logical basis, and opinions on whether or not an activity is fun may differ. A distinction between enjoyment and fun is difficult but possible to articulate, fun being a more spontaneous, playful, or active event. There are psychological and physiological implications to the experience of fun.
The word is associated with sports, high merriment, and amusement. Although its etymology is uncertain, it may be derived from fonne (fool) and fonnen (the one fooling the other). Its meaning in 1727 was "cheat, trick, hoax", a meaning still retained in the phrase "to make fun of".
Fun? is the second album from the British rock band The Candyskins. It contains their hit single "Wembley". It is the band's last release on a major label, being dropped by Geffen following two years of inactivity after its release. The disagreement with the label led to the arrest of Nick and Mark Cope, the band's lead singer and rhythm guitarist, for spray painting 'No Fun' on the wall of their former employer.
All songs written and composed by Nick Burton and Nick Cope, except where noted.
Dave Thompson wrote in his book Alternative Rock that the band with this release "emphasize the rock'n'pop with bigger sound, riddled with soaring leads, rougher riffs, [and] some genuinely meaty power chords". Tom Demalon of Allmusic says the "lyrics, mainly dealing with failed relationships, contrast the sweetness and lightweight feel of the music" and that the tracks highlight "the band's musical diversity".John M. Borack writes in Shake Some Action that album is "[h]ugely entertaining and vastly underrated".
Fun generally refers to recreation or entertainment.

"Fun" is a song by American rapper Pitbull, featuring American singer Chris Brown. The song was released on April 21, 2015 as the sixth single off of Pitbull's eighth studio album Globalization. The song peaked at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
A colourful music video for the song was released on June 19, 2015. It features Pitbull and Brown. It was directed by Gil Green. Nuestra Belleza Latina 2013 winner Marisela de Montecristo made a cameo appearance in the video.
HollywoodLife's Christopher Rogers called the video "amazing" and "masterpiece", also added that it has everything the audience would want in a music video released in the summer. Zach Frydenlund of Complex gave a negative review, saying the video "doesn't actually look fun at all".
Pitbull and Chris Brown performed the song on the finale of the singing competition series American Idol on May 13, 2015. That season's American Idol eighth-place finisher Qaasim Middleton also joined them on the stage for the final verse.
"Fun" is the name of a House/Garage single (and popular club anthem) recorded by Da Mob, an American House music collective that featured producers Erick Morillo, José Nunez, Carlos "DJ Sneak" Sosa, singer/songwriter Karen "Dajae" Gordon (who wrote the single with the trio) and lead vocalist Jocelyn Brown, who chanted the song's main lyrics, "We're gonna have some fun tonight!" throughout the entire song.
The single reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart the week of April 18, 1998 and spent one week there. It is also the first release single from Morillo's Subliminal Records label, which he also launched in 1998. At first, "Fun" was supposed to feature Dajae as the lead vocalist, which drew positive response via test pressings and buzz across the Atlantic, but Dajae refused to sign the contract with Subliminal, and Brown was brought in to re-record the vocals. Brown’s collaboration with Subliminal is known as "Da Mob," but in other countries she is listed alongside the act as the featured singer.
Fun was a Victorian weekly magazine, first published on 21 September 1861. The magazine was founded by the actor and playwright H. J. Byron in competition with Punch magazine.
Like Punch, the journal published satiric verse and parodies, as well as political and literary criticism, sports and travel information. These were often illustrated or accompanied by topical cartoons (often of a political nature). The Punch mascot, Mr. Punch and his dog Toby were lampooned by Fun's jester, Mr. Fun, and his cat. The magazine was aimed at a well educated readership interested in politics, literature, and theatre.
Fun was sold for a penny and was sometimes characterised as a 'poor man's Punch'. Thackeray called it "Funch".Fun silenced its critics by publishing lively fare, whereas Punch was criticised as dull and tired. One area in which Fun clearly bested its rival was in its close connection to popular theatre.
Something's a wrong!
Last night's gig didn't go to well!
People fighting near the stage
a cable ripped and fucked the sound
Refrain:
Fighting! Beating!
There must be another way
All we ask is to have a good time
Refrain
Solo: Axel, Andy
Always the same -
I postpone things to the very end
No one's to blame - except for myself
I've had three weeks to write this song-
I put it off - Too tired!
Tomorrow It's due now I must compose -
I'm really wired - Too bad!
Absence of mind - mu brain's still
void of inspired thoughts
Falling behind -
the hours pass on my digital clock
Refrain
Solo: Andy, Axel
Refrain
...Into Desperation
...Desperation
