W. Jeffrey Marsh is a religion professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) and an author of several religiously themed books. Among his writings are The Light Within: What the Prophet Joseph Smith taught us about Personal Revelation; His Final Hours; Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration; Unto Us A Child is Born; and Parables for the Latter-day Saints.
Marsh is a Latter-day Saint. He served as a missionary in Germany. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and a master's degree and Ph.D. from BYU. Marsh and his wife Kathie are the parents of six children. Among other callings in the LDS Church, Marsh has served as a bishop.
