My group in environmental psychology studies how individuals react to collective problems such as climate change. We use surveys and experiments to descriptively map systems, and to predict behavior from thoughts, identities, personalities, and social context. We also study consumer and household decisions from plastics to fast fashion, and communication effectiveness focused on the comprehension of policy options. Crossing planetary boundaries is an emergency and we have limited time to make a transition towards clean energy and circular consumption. Please get involved.
