CData Named a Strong Performer in Gartner® Peer Insights™ Voice of the Customer Report for Data Integration Tools

Differentiating data integration vendors can be a challenge for even the most experienced IT professionals. At CData, we have long prioritized the success of our customers to inform product roadmap strategy and ensure the quality and innovation behind our technologies.

As such, we are delighted for CData Sync to be recognized as a Strong Performer in the 2024 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer report for Data Integration Tools.

To keep pace with increasing demands for data, advanced analytics, and AI advancements, many enterprises are looking for innovative solutions to access and consolidate data across various data sources and applications. CData Sync offers flexible ETL, ELT, and reverse ETL solutions that support seamless data connectivity across any source and destination, whether in the cloud or on-premises.

Per Gartner, the Voice of the Customer report is a document that applies a methodology to aggregated Gartner Peer Insights’ reviews in a market to provide an overall perspective for IT decision makers. This aggregate market view includes customer reviews of eligible vendors along with 15 or more ratings for the ‘Capabilities’ and ‘Support/Delivery’ sub-ratings over the 18 months and is limited to organizations with $50 million or more in annual revenue.

  • CData Sync scored overall rating of 4.7/5 stars across a total of 21 reviews aggregated in the report as of March 31, 2024
  • 71% of Sync reviews rated CData 5/5 stars
  • 95% of Sync reviewers recommend CData, in the top 4 of all vendors

The report goes into more detail about product capabilities, support, sales experience, and more. But one detail that we often hear makes a big difference to our customers is how we structure our pricing. In contrast with other data pipeline/ETL vendors in the market, Sync charges based on the number of data connections, instead of volume of data.

Key factors setting Sync apart in the market

Reviewers on Peer Insights are asked, “What are the key factors that drove your decision?” Among the listed options, “Overall cost” was a deciding factor for Sync customers. In fact, “Overall cost” appeared 9.4% more often for Sync than for other data integration vendors. No other vendor was that far ahead of the market average in any “deciding factor” criteria.

In-depth reviewer insights

Sync was one of the most peer-recommended vendors in the Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer report, ranking in the top 4 at 95%, a number that has grown to 96% on the Peer Insights website through mid-May 2024. Sync customers represent the broadest swath of industries, with no single industry accounting for more than 21% of reviews.

Market features, customer experience, and product capabilities

Another area of acclaim for CData centered on customers’ interactions with our team, as well as the quality of product features.

CData is the only vendor among other recognized vendors to not score below 4.8/5 in any of the categories.

“I'm not aware of any better way to get data out of Workday and into SQL than the Sync connector. It greatly simplifies the process. Standard integration approaches with Workday are slow and complex at the best of times, with ample room for error where customization is required, whereas the Sync connector enables a very small team to schedule a job to populate a table in SQL with a custom Workday query almost as quickly as we can define our requirements.”
