Outstanding full-size wireless mouse at a great price!

Great wireless mouse from a respected company! First of all, the price point of around $15-$20 is excellent. The value aspect is very high. The full-size design is what attracted me to this model first as I’ll be using it for a desktop PC. The size and shape is ideal for either left or right-handed use and I like the overall feel in the palm. The color options are nice and I went with the red matte color which looks refined on a desktop. I was worried it would be a red glossy color. The weight of the mouse is nice and hefty which is desired to minimize any clicks or movements in error. The grip of the mouse around the thumb and ring finger are good as the areas are rubberized and dimpled to maintain maximum grip.

The overall construction is top-notch, including the left/right buttons, scrolling wheel, and side buttons. I have had some other brands of mice from Microsoft and lesser-known names; Logitech makes the best in my opinion. The functionality of the mouse is outstanding. The mouse tracks accurately and smoothly. The clicks are very confident and just feel right. I also like the unifying receiver included with this model. With the Unifying software download, I’m able to connect it to an existing Logitech wireless keyboard by just using only one receiver, which means only using 1 usb port as opposed to 2. The unifying software is user-friendly and works great in connecting up to 5 keyboards/mice. A Logitech keyboard and mouse are the perfect combination when it comes to going wireless for me.

I also downloaded the Logitech Options software to reprogram the side buttons and click wheel(left, right, middle click) if needed. By default, the side-buttons are back/forward for use when browsing on web pages for example. The click wheel is set for left/right scrolling and middle click by default. The sheer number of options to assign these side buttons and click wheel is mind-boggling to say the least; I’ll probably stick with the defaults for now though. But it’s nice to know that I can change the button assignments as needed and I applaud Logitech for providing this easy-to-use software from their downloads section of the Logitech.com website.

Also, the wireless connection to the PC has been flawless just like every other Logitech mouse I’ve used like the m325 travel-size mouse that I use for a laptop. I’ve had a bad experience with a Microsoft bluetooth mouse before in terms of connection and build-quality(mouse buttons would stick and stop working entirely) and will generally avoid bluetooth mice in general as I feel that these 2.4 ghz mice are much more reliable in terms of connection like instant-on and overall performance.

Other features of the mouse that I like are the on/off button that instantly connects to the pc and the fact that when the mouse is idle or when you have turned off the pc and forgot to turn off the mouse, the sleep mode kicks in on the mouse which prevents unwanted draining of the 2 AA batteries. Also, if you’re using this mouse on a laptop for example and wanting to store the usb receiver, there is a handy slot within the battery compartment that keeps it safe to prevent loss.

There are really no cons for me and I appreciate the 24-month battery life of this model and outstanding reputation for reliability of their products. I have used Logitech products for years; from keyboards, mice, computer speakers, cases, sleeves and everything in between. Logitech is definitely a brand I recommend and this m510 is no exception.

My First Wireless Mouse and I Love It!

I’ve always used a wired mouse when I had desktop computers. When I got a laptop, I just used the pad. I noticed that some of the games I was playing were easier to play with a mouse so I went back to a wired mouse with my laptop for gameplay. I figured that I’ve always used a wired mouse so why change a good thing? That changed when my dog got rambunctious and decided to jump up on me while I was playing and he caught the wired mouse and pulled it off of my table (he’s never done that before or since. He just wanted my attention I guess.). Thankfully I was able to pull it out of the sub port before he pulled my laptop off the table too. But the mouse hit the floor and was toast. I figured it was time to try a wireless mouse so it didn’t happen again. I can’t believe it took me so long! This wireless mouse is fantastic! It’s comfortable in my hand, it works well with my laptop and is responsive enough for the games I play. I play games like The Sims 3, The Sims 4, Simcity and The Tenants. None of them are fast paced so I can’t speak to how responsive it is in games where people are competing or that require quick reactions. I really like that I can turn it off when I’m not using it which will prolong the battery life. It was also really easy to set up; just plug the usb thing in the USB port and you’re good to go. I appreciate that because though I can do basic installations of drivers and such, I’m by no means good with more than basic computer skills. It’s nice not to have to fuss. It’s a little heavier than I’m used to but not in a bad way; it just feels really solid in my hand and well made. I would buy this again and I would recommend it.

Very Durable Mouse with Long Lasting Power

I bought this mouse in July 2019. As of Mar 2024, almost 5 years later, this is still working very reliably. It uses 2x AA batteries, and I only changed them once. For the past 6 months, the low-battery warning sign has been showing up on the screen once in a while, but the mouse is still working fine. The scroll-wheel turns very smoothly, and the cursor responds to the mouse moves very accurately, smoothly, and immediately. I don't use the auxiliary buttons, but they work just fine and they are easy to configure. If this mouse ever breakdown, I'll buy another one.

Very good mouse as most Logitech mice are. I had been using an old 325 style ultra compact Logitech wireless mouse for ....7-10 years?? Used it with a netbook, then the Lenovo Twistbook I'd been using the last 5 years or so and it still has plenty of life left. I finally got on the gaming laptop bandwagon with the Helios 300 (never thought I would ever buy a gaming laptop....EVER) and I needed a full size more featured mouse. .....is it perfect for gaming, NO, it isn't, is it good for gaming, yeas it is, quite good IMO, though for my needs on this particular machine I'll be using an XB1 controller most of the time, keyboard and mouse gaming is primarily still done on my desktop. The laptop is for occasional on the road use and is my "HTPC"....primarily my Forza on my 60" plasma living room machine. Its fast and accurate, switches feel great, and its very comfortable in the hand.

This would have gotten 5 stars if it supported Bluetooth, the dongle while compact is still a dongle, it ties up a USB port, it can get lost, it can get snagged and break either itself or an internal port, and I have even seen kids have contests on how many dongles they can swipe in crowded areas (never happened to me....yet) or it simply gets lost....lots of potential disaster scenarios that would render the product totally useless, all because of the dongle. Bluetooth connectivity, even if inferior would at the very least give you an option if you lost said dongle, but today, in real world use, most would hard pressed to notice a difference unless they really cheaped out.....one less thing to worry about and a free port on the machine are big things IMO.

I really hope they make a Bluetooth enabled version of this exact mouse, I would gladly pay an extra $10-$15 for the option if it was implemented well.

I bought this mouse for my elderly mother and we both likes it. It is well made and feels very durable. Ergonomics are very good, both for small and big hands. There is no noticeable wireless latency nor any cutting. It works perfectly with or without mouse mat. Works on both desktop and laptop. There is no setup required, it's completely plug and play. Also, it's made by Logitech who have a great customer support.

The only reason not to buy it is if you need a very small mouse. This one has a standard mouse size which might not appeal to everyone, but on the flip side, it holds better in the hand.
