Snow leopards to thank for Northumberland Zoo's best year
Northumberland Country Zoo is celebrating its most successful year to date after welcoming two snow leopards in December 2020.
The zoo, which gained its licence in 2015, has doubled its number of visitors since before the pandemic and staff say the new animals are to thank.
Handlers said they were "emotional" when the cubs arrived and were grateful they were given the opportunity to raise them despite the restrictions.
