my go to for so many things
MariaMaraki· Review provided by walmart.com · February 18, 2024
one person reported a discharge from the blender and its likely that it needed cleaning. if the head isnt seated correctly this thing can leak into the drive. it happens oncenin a while but ove had my blender for 15 or 17 years sonce it forst came out.

i have a "personal blender" from a different company to make smoothies and a stick blender as well. these are different devices.

i use my bullet for things like grinding up diced tomatoes and squirting in garlic, basil, hot flakes and olives. I place it in the microwave with the top that has holes. I just made sauce for pasta putanesca and no extra dishes
I make smoothies but sometimes I use the pitcher size
I grind Graham crackers and bread and saltines
I keep putting the blender away in the cupboard but I end up using it at least 4 days a week. I even bought a 2nd one 2nd hand to use at work.
Note: *stick blenders are for soups and stews and blending cooked apples for apple sauce in my pressure cooker pot
*the personal blender that I got is a pain because you can't toss it in the dishwasher. I'm not impressed with it. my good old bullet keeps on going because i can buy new parts and rings and replace anything I cracked
Magic Bullet
DRail· Review provided by bestbuy.ca · December 7, 2023
I am sad to say I’m not at all happy with the performance of my new magic Bullet! I recently replaced my magic bullet of approximately 15 years it worked fantastic from day one but recently developed a leak around the seal so I decided it was time for a new one! I didn’t even look at anything other than the magic bullet because of my past experience with your product!
I only use the bullet to make smoothies, I used it 3 mornings and it worked fine although it had a hot smell to it. On morning 4, I made 2 smoothies and it completely shut down. Apparently, these new models are over worked if you use them to blend more than one minute. I do not use it to grind ice, my smoothies consist of 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries, 1/4 of an Avocado, raw spinach with a premier protein shake as the liquid. In my opinion, I do not believe I am over using the bullet. Basing my purchase on the performance of my old one of 15 years was not the correct decision! If I had it to do over, I would not purchase a magic Bullet!
Be aware of the product!

I do not recommend purchasing this product unless every 8 months you plan to replace. I have had this product longer than it works. I recently decided to call the company to see if they would do the right thing. I have only used one of the cups but actually y had the item for a few years mostly not working because the rubber in the bottom burned up. He took the information. He asked me to send a copy of the receipt and pictures. He stated throw it away this needed to be replaced. He continued processing information. Then asked me to pay *. for shipping, handling and replacement. I said well that's the same price in the store and even less depending on where I go. He said well actually you should replace the blades every 8 months. I felt like in a way he deceived me in thinking they were replacing the item when actually it was more like selling me the item. Then every 8 months no thank you. FYI for you all.
They Don't Make Them Like They Used To...

We had a Magic Bullet for TEN YEARS that we used every week for Smoothie Friday with the kids before school. We loved it, and it was Old Faithful until it died a couple months ago. Decided to replace it and thought this would be the perfect replacement (same company, same name, gotta be the same product, right? WRONG).

Out of the box it emitted a foul smell (like burning plastic) that lingered after the first use, and it got so bad we had to stop using it. Customer service says the blades can make that smell for the first 15-20 uses, but even the base smells so foul still, weeks after we stopped using it.

It's also WEAK. I'm not sure the wattage of our 10 YO model, but it certainly had more power than this piece of junk. This one struggles to chop frozen items like bananas or ice, and if it runs for about a minute or more, it'll automatically shut off for hours to "prevent overheating," game over. So you have to choose between getting multiple uses at a time, with each smoothie left chunky/icy, or else getting one good smoothie in before it shuts off for hours.

Absolutely DO NOT recommend if you care about your nostrils and olfactory nerves. If you don't, then go ahead and get it. What's $40 anyway in the grand scheme of things. Or you can save the $40 and put it toward a blender that will actually last and chop things up better anyway, like a Ninja, or a VitaMix, or a BlendTec.
