Mine is defective
The Original C· Review provided by Target · June 26, 2024
I have a collection of the 40, 30, and 64 oz. Stanley cups in several colors, as I have drank water out of these every day since April, 2022. I’ve bought these Stanley Quenchers many times over for gifts. This order (20th Stanley order?) I received my first defective one, even though it was sent to me well protected in an original manufacturer box, wrapped inside with tissue, in a Target box with air wrap. There is a black, three-dimensional spot in the middle of the cup on the back side (not the logo side). I tried to rub, wipe, and pick off the black spot to no avail. After closer examination, it may be a chip, which was there upon unwrapping from manufacturer’s tissue that surrounded the cup. This is certainly a defect from manufacturing. Since the same blueberry color sold out, I guess I’ll wait for restock to return, or contact Stanley. I love the color and the sparkle of this cup. However, the quality control is lacking and disappointing for the price point.
Not Dishwasher Safe (Paint Chips)

I’m absolutely frustrated with this cup, I got as a gift, mind you, and I’m glad I never bought one and I never will. I’ve seen the same reviews about my problem with the paint chipping. How the heck are you going to call it dishwasher safe if you know the product’s paint and seal are affected everytime you put it in the washer. That is the only way I can explain the paint chipping. False advertising and fraudulent marketing. I’ve contacted customer support and they said it was not covered and abruptly closed my case. THANKS FOR NOTHING. It’s a horrible cup and leaks all the time out of the top. Stanley says built for life but really its not and their guarantee does not cover everything despite claiming it is dishwasher safe but actually damages the cup.
tragically dented

It’s beautiful. lovely. wonderful. I’m so glad that I waited until this color came out before finally buying a Stanley. Tragically, it is dented on the bottom, making it wobble and possibly compromising the insulation. It doesn’t appear to be a shipping issue, but a quality control in the factory issue. This, I will be returning. I I am so very sad about this because it’s out of stock, and I had already waited while it was out of stock to buy this one. Luckily, I was up late after a night out, to buy this one when the back in stock alert came on around four in the morning. I don’t know that i’ll be so lucky next time. Because citron tie-dye is going for around $70-90 from resellers. Target, I don’t know what y’all are doing as far as purchase quantity limits online, but please. It’s not fair. I just want a cute cup for my cute little drinkies 😭 I have full faith that this was just an error and the cup is great normally! I’m just not very excited about having to jump through hoops to get a new one 🥺
Unbelievable greed

Well the cup itself is great. I was finally able to get my hands on one after I completely missed the last drop in December. Even though it's not the one I wanted. I was looking forward to getting one of the pretty tie dye colors but was so disappointed when I showed up to my local target at 9 am 3/12 to find there was only 2 white ones left on the shelf. As I walked up to get one a very rude woman tried grabbing both in front of me. I took one and she was so angry telling me how she wants to try and re sell so she can provide for her family. I said yeah right and took it. But what bothered me as I walked though the store is I saw MULTIPLE people with CART FULLS and handfuls of Stanley's. Just unbelieveable how they took them all. I went to 2 other stores and they had none and came back home to order online just for them to be completely sold out. WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO GREEDY? Target needs to restock and prevent people from buying more than 1. I left with the plain white one while I watched a ton of people all with 5 to 10 Stanley's. Thats just extremely pitiful.
