Mine is defective
The Original C· Review provided by Target · June 26, 2024
I have a collection of the 40, 30, and 64 oz. Stanley cups in several colors, as I have drank water out of these every day since April, 2022. I’ve bought these Stanley Quenchers many times over for gifts. This order (20th Stanley order?) I received my first defective one, even though it was sent to me well protected in an original manufacturer box, wrapped inside with tissue, in a Target box with air wrap. There is a black, three-dimensional spot in the middle of the cup on the back side (not the logo side). I tried to rub, wipe, and pick off the black spot to no avail. After closer examination, it may be a chip, which was there upon unwrapping from manufacturer’s tissue that surrounded the cup. This is certainly a defect from manufacturing. Since the same blueberry color sold out, I guess I’ll wait for restock to return, or contact Stanley. I love the color and the sparkle of this cup. However, the quality control is lacking and disappointing for the price point.
Not Dishwasher Safe (Paint Chips)

I’m absolutely frustrated with this cup, I got as a gift, mind you, and I’m glad I never bought one and I never will. I’ve seen the same reviews about my problem with the paint chipping. How the heck are you going to call it dishwasher safe if you know the product’s paint and seal are affected everytime you put it in the washer. That is the only way I can explain the paint chipping. False advertising and fraudulent marketing. I’ve contacted customer support and they said it was not covered and abruptly closed my case. THANKS FOR NOTHING. It’s a horrible cup and leaks all the time out of the top. Stanley says built for life but really its not and their guarantee does not cover everything despite claiming it is dishwasher safe but actually damages the cup.
Mauve Shimmer I love BUT BE AWARE!!!

This review has nothing to do with the product per se, but with target shipping my $45 Stanley cup in a box with no protection whatsoever!! Not even a single wrap of tissue paper!! This was my second time purchasing a Stanley from here, previously bought a 30oz, and I guess I was lucky because I didn’t have this issue the first time. Thankfully, the cup arrived with no marks or dents. Not sure how that happened, but regardless why would anyone ship any item this way!!? Please update your shipping requirement’s, Target, I always thought so highly of your Business however, this is downright disappointing and distasteful to say the least! Sadly, this will most likely be my last time purchasing Stanley’s here.
Reluctant Convert

As an enneagram 4 I tend to not want to follow the crowd… but sometimes you put your pride aside and just do it. I’d been loving my reuse cups, 40oz and 50oz but with a new baby in tow neither fit in my graco stroller cup holder so when the new drop came out i curbside ordered this baby to see the hype. I also ordered a second just in case the curbside couldn’t be fulfilled (3rd kid, I’m not dragging all three inside not even for a Stanley) we’ll both got fulfilled and I’m keeping both. Things I love, it’s tall so my hand can wrap around it easier than the reduce one, fits perfectly in my stroller cup holder that was fitting a 17oz water bottle in diameter. And the straw holder has a rubber slot which makes for a smoother drinking experience. I do love that the reduce straw holder is in the middle of the lid vs the Stanley one closer to the edge because i have to position it more intentionally when I drink it but it’s like literally not a big deal just have to throw the reduce brand some love. I hit the citron tie dye which I’m obsessed with, I really want blue too but it sold out first, i have peach tie dye on the way. It’s great, if you are stubborn like me, don’t be.
