Don't understand the bad reviews
RareReviewer· Review provided by Target · August 5, 2023
I bought this cup solely for the visual aesthetic being so close to a cloudy sky. What I got was a cute cup AND an understanding of why people love this brand. Ice stays cold no problem. I made an iced coffee and left it in my car while I saw a three hour movie and came back to *shocker* iced coffee. If temperature outside is 120 F, then you can imagine how hot a locked car gets. Incomparable quality. Maybe the people who say their ice melts within one to two hours don’t understand things like thermal mass. Tragic. I hope they get better. The fully dishwasher safe pieces make it so easy to clean and get all smells and residue fully cleaned off the cup DAILY. I feel like hand washing alone isn’t sanitary enough and that the heat of a dish washing mashing sanitizes enough for me to feel better about the cleanliness of my dishware. Most insulated cups are hand wash only and that gives me the ick. Sorry to anyone who can go days or weeks or months without washing their cups fully, but maybe your tummy hurts from creating a bacterial breeding ground in your cup.
Not Dishwasher Safe (Paint Chips)

I’m absolutely frustrated with this cup, I got as a gift, mind you, and I’m glad I never bought one and I never will. I’ve seen the same reviews about my problem with the paint chipping. How the heck are you going to call it dishwasher safe if you know the product’s paint and seal are affected everytime you put it in the washer. That is the only way I can explain the paint chipping. False advertising and fraudulent marketing. I’ve contacted customer support and they said it was not covered and abruptly closed my case. THANKS FOR NOTHING. It’s a horrible cup and leaks all the time out of the top. Stanley says built for life but really its not and their guarantee does not cover everything despite claiming it is dishwasher safe but actually damages the cup.
I mean.. it’s a freaking cup

It’s great that it’s huge and can fit in the cup holder but I can’t put it in my purse bc it has a straw so I have to carry it everywhere. Throwing my less trendy hydroflask in my tote is very convenient. Also the insulation is nothing to write home about. It’s not groundbreaking technology and doesn’t really keep things that cold. That being said the straw is very convenient for workout class. Again not groundbreaking tho. Should be retractibe. Give me a leak proof straw type beat with actual insulation and I’d be mildly impressed. Disappointed in myself for giving into the hype. Wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It’s about branding and clout and all that made up crap.
The best cup i have ever had!

I got this from my mom for a Christmas gift and I was so happy! This Stanley cup kept my water/juice cold, the ice barely melted by the time I refilled it(which is totally convenient to me), and held a lot of water. The color I got(green/baby blue) was gorgeous and a rlly cute design! One thing I was concerned about was that there was a "flap" on lid(shown in photo 2&4) and on the advertised photos, the lid didn't have a flap. Though the flap may be SLIGHTY annoying at some points, it doesn't affect the lid or the straw. Also, the handle has a great grip and is very durable. I use this cup every day and it's very useful! Though it may be a bit pricey to others, I absolutely love the cup, the quality is amazing, and I totally recommend for anyone to buy this cup as a gift or for an everyday use!
