Nanoleaf Troubleshooting for Nest Wifi Pro users

Hey Nest Community,

 

Some of you have encountered an issue between Nest Wifi Pro version 3.73.406133 and older versions of Nanoleaf Essentials products (below version 3.6). There is an incompatibility which causes Nanoleaf Essentials devices to become unresponsive to both Thread and Bluetooth connections. 

Important: Upgrading your Nanoleaf Essentials to version 3.6.173 or higher will resolve the issue.

 

Here's how to update your Nanoleaf Essentials without interrupting your Nest Wifi Pro:

  1. Basic Checks: Remove offline devices from Google Home.
  2. Factory reset your Nanoleaf Essentials product: This will erase its current settings.
  3. Turn off phone Wi-Fi: Make sure you have mobile data turned on for this step.
  4. Pair the Nanoleaf with the App:  Delete bulbs from the Nanoleaf app then use your phone's data connection to connect the Nanoleaf Essentials product to the Nanoleaf App.
  5. Update the firmware: In the app, go to "More" then "My Devices" and find the update for your Nanoleaf Essentials.

By following these steps, you can update your Nanoleaf devices without interrupting your Nest Wifi Pro network.
