Hugo nominee 1959."
Thanks! It is interesting that Scheckley was quite popular when in the late 80s a lot of older SF was published here - at the level of popularity of Asimov

The Space Merchants by Frederick Pohl is an older one that I think still holds up. Some day I am going to read the sequel

Space merchants, which was cowritten by Cornbluth & Paul Anderson, was, well one of the 5,6 books, that further introduced me to SciFi, as an adult/teen, on my 2nd round of studies(ie on Uni) it has some long lost themes, which haven't worked that much in the modern world, but it's actually pretty Unique on it's own way
Glad I am here, to <*>'get on my basket<'/>* those sweet recommendations

But you did not find this as an ebook? I would be interested in it if it were an ebook.

For those of you that have never read them, The Dragonriders of Pern contains Dragonflight Dragonquest & The White Dragon, which are the only three books of this series I recommend except for the Harper Hall books, a YA spinoff series.
Today, not sure for how long, all in one volume is $2.99 https://www.amazon.com/Dragonriders-P...
