Christopher Beck It's good that you get to talk to her, John. Sorry you all had to to through that. Today my ex and I are friends and I still get to see my step-daughter on a weekly basis. Still bothers me I can't be there everyday, but at least not all is lost.

John Allen It took me a while, but I just read what you wrote about your stepdaughter. I went through the same thing with mine. She was five when I met her mother and I helped raise her eleven years. After her mother and I divorced she stayed close to me. I haven't spoken to my ex in ten years, but I call my stepdaughter at least once a month.
