I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Kingdom of Vines and Silence from the author in return for an unbiased review.

Move over SJM. Someone else is now responsible for a portion of my therapy bills.

A Kingdom of Vines and Silence does not hold back. It does not hold your hand. 10 pages into the book you’re literally thrown into a fast paced war torn adventure that has you not wanting to put it down. Each chapter end has you exclaiming “What” (in a good way), and continuing right on to the next to find out what happens.

The vibes in this book are immaculate. The banter between the characters are top tier. And like I mentioned shortly above, the plot twists have you on the edge of the seat the entire book.

I also want to talk about the geography and world building. The world that author L.N. Cole creates is beautiful. And even better? Not confusing at all. I’ve flipped back to the map maybe two or three times, and instantly became familiar with the geographical set up. Also the world building? 80% of it happens right away! You’re not lost like you are for the first 100 pages of any new fantasy book, because you are given all you need to know for the majority of the book in the first 20ish pages. I thought this was genius, and didn’t feel like I was scrambling to keep up. It left me more time to fall in love with the storyline.

The magic system in this book is unique as well. I won’t give any spoilers, but it is definitely not one I’ve come across before. The characters are very well written, and as I said earlier, the vibes are just immaculate. You feel like you’ve known these people your entire life.

And then of course, there’s the huge cliffhanger at the end leaving you ready to purchase the next book as soon as possible. L.N. Cole knew what she was doing, not only writing a masterfully crafted story, but also hooking you at the end to ensure you will continue the series to find out what happens next.

When this book hits shelves on April 1st, I cannot implore you enough to pick up your copy of Kingdom of Vines and Silence.

WOW! what a fun, fast-paced, immersive romantasy. I was hooked from the very beginning and the plot just kept moving and MOVING! just when I thought it was headed in one direction, it went in the complete opposite direction.

I loved the world-building and the cast of characters, the sprinkling of romance, and most of all just how fast-paced the plot was. there was quite literally never a dull moment.

I was SO honored to receive the ARC of this book before release day, but trust me, you should RUN to check this one out if you’re a romantasy lover like I am!

I loved how easy the world building was to understand and follow. This was one of those books that I just had to keep turning the page. I probably gasped about 100 times from the twists😂🤭 I also loved all the characters. Safe to say, I cannot wait for the next book! I’m so excited to see where this series goes.

"Kingdom of Vines and Silence" by L.N. Cole is a captivating fantasy novel that effortlessly draws readers into its richly crafted world. Her masterful world-building and diverse cast of characters immediately immerse readers, even those new to the fantasy genre like myself.

From the moment I began reading, I found myself unable to put the book down, swept away by the enthralling narrative and beautifully developed characters. Particularly striking was the evolution of the main female protagonist and her best friend, whose journey showcases the power of friendship, love, and resilience. The story skillfully weaves themes of camaraderie and determination throughout the story, leaving a lasting impact long after the final page. For fans of fantasy featuring Fae, "Kingdom of Vines and Silence" is an absolute must-read, offering an unforgettable and thought-provoking experience that lingers in the mind even after the story concludes.

This was definitely a jaw dropping Debut in the Romantasy relm!

The world building and magic system felt so unique and unlike anything else I have read which made it so incredibly fun to dive into. Most of the world buildng happens at the beginning and doesnt leave you utteely confused like a lot of fantasy noveles do. There is still soo much more that I am dying to know about the magic system, which i suspect we are going to get in book 2.

The twists and turns are live and well and make it really hard to put the book down. There's also clearly a lot of secrets these charactrs are keeping which let me with so many questions and thoughts on how the series might continue.

The cliffhanger ending was chef's kiss. L.N. Cole knows how to leaver her readers begging for more. I can't wait for book two and to find out how Vee and Amica's story continues!

I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC copy and let me tell you it exceeded my expectations! Kingdom of Vines and Silence is the perfect fantasy book for both readers who are new to the fantasy genre and readers who are AVID fantasy readers.

What I love about this book is the world building. It's not overly complicated at all, and within the first few chapters everything is set up, so it's easy for the reader to understand and then delves right into a fantastic plot.

It captured my attention from the first chapter and kept it throughout the entire book! The characters are well thought out and extremely likable! The plot is well thought out and executed. There's betrayal, political unrest, love interests, plot twists, and it all comes together beautifully! Both Vee and Amica are extremely well written main female characters that I found myself rooting for the entire time.

I honestly can't recommend this book enough. If you love fae, magic, fast paced plot and amazing female main characters, don't hesitate to read this book, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I could not put this down and am already eagerly awaiting book 2!

This is a fast-paced romantasy, filled with many twists I was not anticipating. The characters are all 🔥🔥🔥 and are made up of fae/shifters. The different kingdoms and their magic are unique, and the politics are interesting...but not overwhelming or difficult to understand.

I was never bored... this is action packed (with great spice) and I also loved seeing the relationships form between the FMC and the other characters.

Thank you to L.N. Cole for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I LOVED this book!!

If you are wanting to hop into a fantasy book but are intimidated by high fantasy and heaps of world building this is your next go-to book and would be an amazing first book to get you to fall in love with the fantasy genre.

This story is so unique and intwined with nature that my adventurous soul immediately fell in love. It has avatar the airbender meets Fae vibes and if that doesn’t tell you enough to make you want to read it I don’t know what will.

I thought I could guess everything that was going to happen and was proven wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME! Which I was ecstatic about.

This book has great character descriptions, dual pov but not throughout the entire book (just a few chapters) easy to follow and understand world building, surprises, trauma, spice and so much more.

Ventalia the MFC is a healer in her village but has a secret not even her best friend Amica knows. When sent to Acta to help on the front lines she discovers there may be a deadlier reason she was chosen to go. Vee gets into some serious trouble and her best friend is taken during the battle which leads to her secret coming to the surface and plunging her into a situation that forces her to leave everything she knows and loves behind.
Vee must push past the trauma and hardships she endured to face what’s to come and save the people she loves most…while learning those she thought she could trust may end up being her downfall.

BUY THE BOOK - you will not be disappointed 🌿♥️

This book was great! It had so many twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I enjoyed Vee as a character and enjoyed that while there were romantic aspects, the romance wasn’t the main plot and not her main goal of the entire book.

There is some air of mystery about some of the characters and we can definitely see where some of it is going with the cliffhanger at the end of the book. I think there could have been more in depth relationship development but I don’t feel like I was lacking information either just wanted more.

I can’t wait for the second book in this series to know what is going to happen to Vee and her friends.

OH MY GOD I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!!! So let me say if you really love fae books and just a well written book your going to want this. I loved every minute of this. Vee is such a wonderful character and I love to see her grow! Also everyone needs an Amica in their life. This was an incredible read, just when I thought I knew where the story was going it flipped. Then when it came to whom I thought would be coupled? I've never been so glad to be wrong. I could go on and on about this book but you need to read this!!!! it is such a wild and incredible ride😊

I absolutely flew through this book; I couldn't read fast enough!

This story follows Vee (the FMC) who has a secret that she has hidden her entire life. Along with her best friend Amica, they are both healers and work to take care of their kingdoms wounded.

One day their king sends for Vee to travel to an allied kingdom to help heal their soldiers. Gryffin, a Silvan general, is to be their escort. Vee and Gryffin have a bit of a flirtatious history. Will their relationship grow or will it burst into flames?

From the very beginning of this book, I was hooked. The banter between characters was so entertaining. The plot twists, MULTIPLE, had me audibly gasping. The geography and world building was phenomenal; I could visualize everything and it was so easy to understand.

If you like far, unique magic, shifters, betrayal, fast paced and CLIFF HANGERS; then this is the book for you!

I can't wait for book two!

This one had me hooked from the very first page. It was fast paced and entertaining. Full of political intrigue and adventure. The world building is phenomenal and the characters are relatable. The main character Vee is a fae healer with a secret that will change her world forever and bring about a war to free her home country from a ruthless and paranoid shifter king. If you love fantasy and adventure with romance you should definitely read this book.

This book was great! It is considered a romantasy, but I would consider it to be heavier on the fantasy with romance aspects. I feel like the next book will probably be heavier on the romance, and I can’t wait to see the characters’, yes plural, relationships in the next book grow!

I loved the dual perspectives of Vee and Amica; they are both strong and snarky female characters and their dialogue had me cracking up! I loved all the drama involving all of the characters and the world building done by Akin’s dialogue really helped break down the history of how the kingdoms came to be and made it easier to digest.

I knew this would be great because of who wrote it, what I didn't expect was to get attached to certain characters so quickly! I hope the sequel has more of Amica's POV (also have some theories about her & a couple other characters).

4.75 stars!

An absolutely standout romantasy debut.

This book wheeeeew. I was roped in right from the get go. This story is fast paced with simple but thoughtful world building, loveable found family, political intrigue, and a hint of spice. I absolutely loved that this story centres around a gentler FMC whose true desire is just to protect the ones she loves. You don’t often get meaningful female friendships in romantasy and this book has multiple (yay girl power!).

Thank you so much to the author for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review ✨

Did I finish the book with more questions than answers? Yes. Am I anxiously waiting for the next book? Absolutely.

🧚‍♀️ It's got Fae
🤐 It's got tons of secrets
🌶️ Not a lot of spice but there is some, definitely some tension

This is L.N. Cole's debut book and series. If you're looking for state of the art writing, complex world building and story telling, look elsewhere. But if you want something to dive into, escape for a bit, have fun, and just be... This is a great fantasy book. I absolutely loved it. The plot has so much potential and was so much fun to loose myself in for a bit.

I was constantly internally screaming in my mind "they're mates, right?!" Or "she's the kidnapped princess, right?!" Or simple things like "how can he do that?! Oh wait, apparently that's how".

Absolutely none of my questions were answered in this book (Okay, maybe 2 questions got answered, but that's it). I love it and I hate it. I hate it cause like I said, nothing was answered. But I love it cause it makes me wanna read the second book.

I read this book for a bookclub pick - I absolutely loved the idea behind the story and the characters have interesting stories to tell. As a debut novel, I could do with some growth in the writing itself, a bit more depth to the plot and people within it - but overall, I am happy to support an indie author with the confidence of putting their work out to the world to be critiqued.

I can honestly say that this is now one of my favorite fantasy romance books. The world building is written so well into the narrative of the story that you don’t even realize you’re fully immersed so early on for a fantasy book. The characters are lovable (even when they’re hateable lol) dynamic, and intriguing. It’s such a descriptive scenery within an amazingly paced story line. Not once did I wonder when it would speed up or slow down because I was enthralled through the entire book. Multiple times I had to put the book down and go “what!!!” with excitement and shock.

I can see this being loved by both avid fantasy readers and non fantasy readers alike.

My only complaint is that I am dying for book 2 now!!!!
