KC Kingmaker lives in San Diego and has been writing and reading fantasy and romance for years.

"Briarwitch Academy" was KC’s first foray into paranormal romance, trying to bridge the genres to make something steamy, funny, mysterious, action-packed, and most of all, fun!

"Dragon Shifter Dominion" came after, trying to meld that same steaminess with traditional fantasy, to create a romantic fantasy explosion!

"Shadowblade Academy," KC’s third series, is technically a spin-off of Briarwitch Academy, though it can be read as a standalone series. It has just as much intrigue and mystery and steam as the others, but things get a bit darker.

"Camelot Untold," KC’s fourth series, is a deep, dark dive into the rich lore of Arthurian legends. It’s reverse harem fantasy romance.

"Robin Hood and Her Merciless Men" is KC’s fifth series, and another spicy, dark retelling of an iconic legend.

KC I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU!! How dare you off some of my favourite characters??? I love everyone equally, so I'd be sad to see anyone go, but one of these in particular is so unfair because of "what could've been". You'll understand that when you get to it.

The whole book (really, the whole series), I was waiting for this person to join the Merry Men, and while their ending was kinda perfect (I highlighted the whole thing, duh), I'm still sad. So so sad.

And the other deaths...I understand, but I don't like it. Okay? Okay.

Now, the most surprising thing here is Maid Marian's redemption arc, sort of, not exactly, but kinda? She's a complicated character, and I can't say I like her, but maybe I don't hate her anymore. She did do something right.

Queen of Sherwood had a bit less action than the first two books, but it was no less entertaining. As a whole, I feel like it was more focused on character growth, especially with the new recruits. But don't worry, Sheriff George also got what was coming to him.

There were twists I didn't see coming, all the way up to the end. And what an ending it was! I wouldn't mind 10 more books in this series, there's plenty of material! I'm just saying.

I'm also happy to report that, finally, after three books, I don't see Friar Tuck as a badger anymore. He's a human now, hurray!! Although he's still last in my ranking, which apparently hasn't changed much since book one...sorry Tuck, I love you.

Alan and Little John are both fighting for second place, and *I think* Little John might be winning, which leaves Alan third. He's so fun though, and that speech he gave to the two girls...MY HEART.

As for Little John, I didn't forget what happened, but it was still hard relieving it with him as he shared his story with everyone. I'm glad he did, so he can truly heal.

Will remains my ultimate fav, I actually think he got saner this time around? Or more mature, if you will. He might become a good influence someday.

Finally, Robin, the girl, the myth, the legend. She had a little darkness crisis at the start, and it's undeniable she was forever changed by being with the Merry Men, but I will always support my girl no matter what.

She became the leader she was destined to be. I'm so proud of her for everything she's accomplished, through all the trials and schemes, she really DID THAT.

I am, of course, excited for whatever KC puts out next, I know I'll love it.

*Thank you to the amazing author who provided me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review*

This is the final book in the series, and I am surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I will admit in book 1 I liked it but wasn't sure I would stick with the series mostly due to Robin. I liked her in book 1 but found her annoying at times as while there was development with her character, I still found her a little annoying. But with each book she has grown and grown, and I have loved it. Especially in book 3 when she is the official leader not just in name but in the trust of her men.

Along with the development in the book with Robin there was development with other characters as well. There was redemption for some, understanding for others and grudging liking for others. Characters I disliked or hated in previous books I at least understood them better and their choices in this book which made for an enjoyable read as that it made me question things and surprised me at times.

There is spice in this book, and I found it very enjoyable so be prepared for some steamy moments. Along with steam this book while it does end with a HEA it does end with some bittersweet moments that made it an interesting end that you don't see often which I liked.

This book is the conclusion to the Robin Hood and her Merciless Men series. Now that Robin is not only reunited with all her men, but she has been accepted as the real leader with the full endorsement of all the merry men. She has earned their trust finally in order to lead not just them but also the oak boys as she has teamed up with her brother and uncle. Which is a good thing as Sherwood Forest won't be able to shield them for long from Sir Guy, The Sherrif of Nottingham and Bishop Sutton who for all of their own reasons are trying to break the kingdom for the sake of their own power and ambitions while King Richard is away, and Prince John is left in charge. The only thing getting in their way is Robin Hood Queen of Sherwood Forest who is a constant thorn in their sides for all their evil plots. However, even with all the trouble Robin and her outlaws bring, Robin can't deny the numbers are not on their side and it's only a matter of time before the powers that be bring the fight to them. So, when the final battle for the people of Nottingham and Sherwood Forest comes who will emerge victorious? The Law or the Outlaws.

I enjoyed this entire series and purchased the paperback copies. This was fitting end although I was a little heartbroken that my favorite villain didn't join the Merry Men I was still pleased with the outcome. Robin has been fierce since book 1 and over the series she became the fearless leader the Merry Men needed.

I am looking forward to what the author has next in store.

This starts off with Robin and her Merry Men have now made an alliance with her brother Robert and his Oak Boys. And now we see how this alliance works or doesn’t work while they all have the main goal to bring down the Sheriff.

This has been my favorite series by KC Kingmaker so far! This series seemed to have more depth with the plot and with the characters than the others I’ve read and so I enjoyed reading more about Robin’s journey, as well as the spice mixed in there that was definitely spicy 🥵

I loved having Robert, Robin’s brother, join them and see how their strained sinking relationship be rekindled. And seeing how he learns to allow Robin to lead since she’s rather good at it 😂

The spice as always was 👌🏻 and I thought there was a certain someone that may join their trysts in the end, but that didn’t quite go the way I expected, which added a nice twist to the other twists.

The reason I gave this 4 ⭐️ is because…I don’t want to say I was bored, but it did seem to drag with them trying to figure out what to do, but kind of dragging their feet while doing it and taking their time and not acting. And when they did act, it didn’t go the way they expected and when they finally executed their final act to end the Sheriff, it was a bit anticlimactic. And yet, the way it dragged still worked in the end because it did take time for them to figure out a good plan, I just got a bit bored during it 😅

It was still a great story and ending to the series. Things didn’t go the way I expected, which added a great element of surprise for me. I look forward to more by KC Kingmaker!

I received a gifted e-copy to read. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

✨⭐️✨

This debaucherous adventure with Robin Hood and her Merry Men comes to an end with multi POV, dark themes, raging rebellion, necessary alliances, growing community, cut throat revenge, brutal battles, backstabbing betrayal, sad sacrifice, shared love, a grab for freedom and a little hope.

Robin leads, and leads well, as the Merry Men grow into something more— but now she must tackle the darkness and corruption that’s been growing inside her. Her men notice the change in her and try their best to keep the inner monster at bay— which for the most part leads to some deliciously filthy romps in the woods— that are merciless, sinful, savage and lustful.
Their why choose romance hits new sexual heights, as Robin finally gets to have them ALL at once— with hallucinative play, group play, breath play and more.

The ending isn’t necessarily happy or bright but it’s hopeful. This series is not a core shaker but was a dark and erotic woodsy adventure I really enjoyed and would totally recommend for those looking for something raunchy and exciting.

“Queen of Sherwood” is the final book in this why choose Robin Hood retelling, where the stakes get even higher and the threats just keep on coming. I might be repeating myself, but these aren’t the easiest characters to love. They make mistakes that lead to others being hurt, and they sometimes skip the line between good and bad. Still, there is something disarming about them, especially in those moments they show their hearts and the doubts living inside.

I wasn’t entirely sure how these characters would be able to reach a HEA, but the author managed to do it in a very satisfying way. Once again, she threw some unexpected twists in the storyline making it equally unpredictable.

That being said, this series is dark and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many side characters getting unalived in one single series… Just be sure you are okay with some twisted content before starting this series. And if you are okay with it; enjoy!

A fantastic and fitting final installment to one of my favorite why-choose series, QUEEN OF SHERWOOD is an action-packed and twisty conclusion to the story of Robin and her merciless men. This third book brings our characters full circle and delivers a satisfying conclusion. With so much suspense and tension throughout the series, it was anyone’s guess if it would end on a happy note, and I’m delighted that we leave our characters in a very good place. This final book delivers all of the twists, turns, and action I’ve come to expect from this series, and it was a super bumpy road to the eventual HEA. While I’m sad this series has ended, I’m looking forward to whatever author KC Kingmaker brings us next. Pick this book up if you’re a fan of:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

This is the final book in the Robin Hood and Her Merciless Men series and I'm so sad it has come to an end but this series was so good and I loved this conclusion!

Robin is finally reunited with all her men and she's also been accepted as the leader, the REAL leader of all the merry men and it makes me so so happy!

KC Kingmaker wrote such a satisfying end for these characters! There were definitely some unexpected twists and turns in this book but it made the storyline so good and unpredictable!

This was definitely more intense and serious than the first two books but so worth it. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last page! There is so much spice in this one and I loved every moment! 😍❤🥵

This is an ARC review and is my honest opinion.

Be ready for action, twists and turns, lots of unaliving and spice – all in a smooth story that will have you amazed at how we arrived at the HEA. Because with all this action, you will have many doubts along the way!!

I love this book and this series – sad to see it end. But very much looking forward to reading Kingmakers next book!

The perfect ending of this tale!

This third and final installment of the Robin Hood and her Merciless Men series just completed this trilogy perfectly! In this story, we get to learn the back stories of Will, Tuck and Alan, none of them happy, like the rest of the Merry Men. This whole series just pulls you in and won’t let go until the very last word, the ending both bittersweet and happy. I cannot recommend this series highly enough. K.C. Kingmaker does a wonderful job with this trilogy and it won’t be the last of her works I read, I can promise that.

ARC review:

I’ve been following Robin and her Merry Men from the very beginning and it was so amazing to finally see them have their happy ending. They fought tooth and nail to live the lives they wanted and lost a few on the way. I was very happy to see Will,Alan,Tuck,John, and Robin continue on with their lives together and see everything they built after all was said and done.

Final book in the series. This was much more serious and intense than the first 2 books but maybe that’s because it was wrapping things up. A satisfying finish to a wonderful series!!! A wonderful strong, feisty FMC!!
