This was such a lovely little children’s book that managed to both be profound and capture childlike curiosity and wonder. Not many people have reviewed it so I’m honored to have stumbled across it in the library. Plus I LOVE the illustrations, they are so cozy and nice. The simplicity and sketch like style really adds to the book.

Some quotes:

“If they are all in my own mind,
Why can’t I choose what I want to find?”

“Soft are the feet that fall on the land
Where mist is abroad, and quiet the stand
Of one awake with the world asleep
And he in the moonlight watching sheep”
