I believe that love is love and it happens in a flash.
Whether it starts with action and adventure and adrenaline...or with just a glance across a crowded room. Happily ever after is never far away.

Ahhh, this one wasn't good. This novella is connected to the Love/Hate book and it pre-dates that story.

Callum is a 28-year old priest at a Catholic college who went there to hide, simply because he's gay. His family was surprised to see him go, because they were all waiting for him to come out basically.
Declan is a 21-year old hockey player who has a crush on Callum. He's dreaming about him all the time, he has this massive crush that transforms into falling in love. Declan's not religious but goes to these confessions to Callum and tells him all about his wet dreams about the guy.
“Sorry Daddy, I’ve been a bad, bad boy. It’s been three days since my last confession.” 😏
So far everything was good, great even. But then the story takes a turn where Callum is told to bring Declan along when he goes home for Thanksgiving and things don't really evolve the way one would expect.
For one, events that follow are very not-believable. Declan and Callum are both complete virgins. Second, they haven't spent any time together besides the confessions, yet suddenly they both love each other. Not like, not want, but love. After that weekend and two days spent together not intimately - Callum decides to leave priesthood and be with Declan.
Wow.
The dialogues with Callum's family aren't good. The whole interaction Declan has with Callum's family is not only boring but terribly written.
One example.
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also,” she said. “Don’t you dare fucking quote Luke at me!” “You watch your mouth young man.”
Meeeh, terrible and with a religious note that basically ruins the whole thing, because noone is religious here and Callum is gay and actually doesn't even want to be involved with the church.
The way Callum's brothers spoke to Declan and Callum, I mean - it was terribly boring and mundane, wasn't written well and I for one didn't really get the emergency. Callum brought Declan home for the weekend and based on one weekend alone he decided to leave the service because of Declan and that's it. I mean, not only is that stupid, it's risky and needs a lot more story behind it.
If the author would continue with that good vibe at the beginning of the book and progressed from there, this would be a short, sexy novel, but as it is, it's definitely not good. I've given 2⭐ because of that good beginning and 2 epilogues, but this story needs revisiting and correcting, because the premise is pretty good.
😭😭😭💗💗💗Oh god this was SOOOO goooood. Yes this did give me hibijibies. So so so so damn good.
🟩This book was unbelievable sexy, sweet, cute, emotional. The emotional part suprised me.
🟩I went into this thinking that it would just be about 2 guys falling in love .... I didnt expect that one of them would struggle with his sexuality.
🟩It was a good suprise. That is why this book makes so much sense and it manages to perfectly balance the intimate and the emotional stuff.
💗🟩So good. Should have tried DR books way before this.
🔹Dual Virgins. 🔹Age-gap(19/26) 🔹Declan is a student at a Catholic Uni and Callum is a priest at that Uni. (This is why this book is so fkin hawwwt.) 🔹Callum struggles with his sexuality and priesthood. Also, all the priests in this book suprised me(read to know why) 🔹Both virgins. 🔹No-cheating. 🔹No OP drama. 🔹Smut-9/10. 🔹HEA.
“You know, seven years ago, I was getting in brawls in this very bar, back before Ronan bought it. And you…you were still getting your boo-boos kissed by your mommy.” We were inches apart, face to face, as we’d been a lot lately. “Well, maybe you could kiss my boo-boos now,” I offered. I ran my thumb over my still swollen lower lip. “I have one right here that could use some attention.”
