We get to know four friends in their early adult life, following each of them on their daily life which takes place in New Delhi, Punjab and Kathmandu. Through, love, friendship, togetherness, happiness, grief, fear, longing, missing, shadow work the reader navigates with excitement through every chapter. Everyday situations, small things as well as transformative emotional moments.

I like the way of writing, were every chapter catch one of the persons at time and the story is nicely woven together with a clear red thread from beginning to end.

Nice emotional nuances in the language that give the reader a direct feeling of the characters thoughts and it feels real. One can easily recognize oneself in many situations. I like the descriptions of both details and surroundings, which creates beautiful pictures in my mind while reading.

A novel that I really want to recommend reading. The author manages to get the reader deeply involved in the occurrence; you could easily be one of the characters yourself. When finished reading the novel, you miss your friends and questions like,” how are doing now” and” What happens next” are coming up. It is difficult to leave your friends, you just want to continue hanging together. For me personally it’s a strong sign for “the best book” when my own imagination continues and creates further story. And even more my desire to travel to India and Nepal is growing stronger. It is a must to read Why the silhouette?

‘Lifts in buildings resemble our lives a lot too; at any point in time each one of us has to travel in one lift or the other. Some get down and some get up!’

Why the Silhouette? is the story of four friends and their dreams. When Raghav Sir gets a pleasant surprise birthday party after his students win a football match, he starts reminiscing about his past on seeing his friends and so the story unfolds.

It is the story of four friends - Raghav, Wasim, Sid and Karan living as flatmates in the Old Rajinder Nagar. Raghav’s dream is to become an actor like his idol Shah Rukh Khan. Karan's dream is to travel and to write but due to family pressure, he is preparing for the civil service examination. Wasim's dream is to do MBA from a top college but he comes from a poor background. Sid loves doing theater and his dream to get admission into the NSD (National School of Drama). Will these four friends be able to make their dream a reality?

The book is written in a simple language so it is beginner friendly and new readers will find no problem in comprehending it. It is written from multiple POVs which I think was overdone by the author as I couldn't connect with a single character because there were so many point of views. I like the books with maximum two or three point of views limited to the main characters which is not the case in this book.

The plot is simple and interesting. It is a short book and it is written with a simple writing style. I liked reading it but it could be better.

A book with a good content is always interesting to read and i feel like this book deserve a good remark. From starting to ending of the total 47 chapters, there is not even a situation of getting bored while reading. Rather than family, friends are giving us tge warmthness in which family gives. The main thing i loved about this book was stating the love between friends. The story is quite different to read, but you will adapt to it once you read tge first two chapters. Mentioned four friends have different dreans and different nature of views towards the world. What happened to them? Will the succeed in their life? Will they be friends forever? Read this story to know what happened to them.

I randomly came across this book while searching for novels and its cover and title grabbed my attention and made me curious to find out what lies within the book. After reading this I can definitely say that it's totally worth reading.
The story begins in the year 2018 and then we're taken 3 years back. The story is all about love, sadness, difficulties, and friendship. There were seven strangers each tied up to one other with a common event in their life. They find their way to each other and become friends. Story of all about love and heartbreaks, happiness and sadness. I really like the way in which the author has connected all the events from the very beginning of the book.
Language is quite simple and easy to understand even for beginners and this is what keeps the readers connected with the book and makes it easy for them to interpret it.
Amazing read!

It all starts with a dream.
This life, always starts with a dream and ends up at an unexpected and an irregular interval of time. The book holds a tale bold and peaceful enough with the words. The narration appeared to me in a little unorganised manner although the plot of the story was well maintained until the end.
I liked the role played by Karan and Wasim mainly and also the description of scenes by the author were quite interesting enough to make the reader pick this book for a reading session for more than just once.
I took a day and a half to finish this read and the efforts made by the author is truly commendable where on the other hand the characterization could have been improved to a good extent.
Overall speaking, it's a read interesting enough.
