Tequila Rose #1-2

Small Town Big Rumors: The Tequila Rose Duet

Rate this book
He tasted like tequila and the fake name I gave him was Rose.

Four years ago, I decided to get over one man, by getting under another. A single night and nothing more.

I found my handsome stranger with a shot glass and charming but devilish smile at the end of the bar. The desire that hit his eyes the second they landed on me ignited a spark inside me, instant and hot. He was perfect and everything I didn’t know I needed. That one night may have ended, but I left with much more than a memory.

Four years later, and with a three-year-old in tow, the man I still dream about is staring at me from across the street in the town I grew up in. I don’t miss the flash of recognition, or the heat in his gaze.

The chemistry is still there, even after all these years.

I just hope the secrets and regrets don’t destroy our second chance before it’s even begun.

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

let me explain, I’m not giving this 3 stars because it’s 3 stars to me. No, this book is like a 1.5-2 stars MAX for me. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because I added a star for not doing the proper research, because if I had done so I would’ve avoided this entire book.

I’ve seen this book multiple times on TikTok and it was free on Amazon. I love free books, you just say the word FREE and I’m there already downloading and reading it.

______

why is this a 2 star read for me? Well let me list what I didn’t like/ what made it such a bad read for me.

→ cheating. IMMEDIATELY NO. and I don’t want anyone arguing w me about it being actual cheating. It was 😭
→ love triangles. Both men literally falling at her feet and BEGGING for a chance. I like men that beg, but not this. it was just embarrassing.
→ three POVs. I don’t like it.

I think the premise was good, the whole secret baby and the baby daddy mysteriously showing up into town and starts to work and live there? Amazing. I honestly would’ve liked it if it weren’t for the other man, who she constantly says is a friend. She keeps saying that he’s just a friend, but she loves him… as a friend. But she’s still attracted and sleeps with him, even though she’s also in love with someone else. honestly, what?

I don’t understand that. Even if I were to understand her conflict, I would assume that not both kinds of love feel the same. I mean she loves Robert, sure. But if she’s in love with Brody she would’ve known the difference between loving a friend and a partner. It was confusing. And the plot felt repetitive, we were going around in circles covering the same things over and over and it was so annoying.

and like, I can’t even hate Robert (her friend) because I don’t think he’s a bad character. He’s always there for her and does the most and I felt so bad for him.

Magnolia was just too unlikable. I tried to connect and understand why she’s doing what she’s doing, but I couldn’t.

overall, the book was boring and dragged. not for me.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS BOOK ZERO STARS I WOULD😭 HOW DO I BEGIN THIS? IT IS SO BAD I DON’T KNOW HOW TO START THIS SO GET COMFY AND KEEP GOING IF YOU LIKE MESSY REVIEWS ALL OVER THE PLACE.

𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐆𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐃𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐃.

OK SO 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐀 IS A SENIOR IN COLLEGE AND HER LONG DISTANCE HS BF 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓 BREAKS UP WITH HER. SHE IS DEPRESSED AND GOES TO A BAR LIKE “𝑰 𝑯𝑨𝑽𝑬 𝑶𝑵𝑳𝒀 𝑲𝑰𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑫 𝑶𝑵𝑬 𝑴𝑨𝑵 𝑴𝒀 𝑾𝑯𝑶𝑳𝑬 𝑳𝑰𝑭𝑬 𝑺𝑶 𝑳𝑬𝑻 𝑴𝑬 𝑺𝑬𝑬 𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻𝑺 𝑶𝑼𝑻 𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑬 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑮𝑬𝑻 𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹 𝑹𝑶𝑩𝑬𝑹𝑻” OKAY FAIR WE LOVE THAT. THERE SHE MEETS A HOT OLDER STRANGER, 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐘 AND HAS A ONE NIGHT STAND WITH HIM.

NEXT MORNING SHE GETS A CALL AND GOES BACK TO HER SMALL TOWN TO DEAL WITH A FAMILY EMERGENCY & GUESS WHAT ? 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐓.

SHE TELLS 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓 (HER EX) THAT SHE HAD A ONE NIGHT STAND WHEN THEY BROKE UP AND THE BABY HAS TO BE THE ONE NIGHT STANDS (𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐘) BECAUSE HER AND 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓 USED PROTECTION ALL THE TIME. WHEN THE BABY IS BORN MAGNOLIA IS LIKE “WELL BLUE EYES, SO IT IS DEFINITELY BRODY’S BABY” LIKE EXCUSE ME WHAT HAPPENED TO DNA??? ANYWAYS SHE CAN’T FIND BRODY SO HER AND ROBERT RAISE THE BABY AND ARE FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS…

FOUR YEARS LATER GUESS WHO SHOWS UP AT THE SMALL TOWN???? 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐘𝐘𝐘𝐘

NOW MAGNOLIA AND BRODY RECONNECTS AND SHE IS JUST SO IMMATURE AND DOESN’T TELL HIM THAT THERE IS A CHANCE THIS BABY IS HIS. SHE IS SO FREAKING SELFISH AND ANNOYING AND A STRAIGHT UP LIAR. END OF BOOK 1 BRODY FINDS OUT AND SURPRISE SHE IS LIKE “WELL ROBERT COULD ALSO BE THE FATHER” LIKE UM WHAT ?

IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DUET SHE IS ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED WITH BOTH MAN AND FINALLY DOES A DNA TEST AND MIND YOU WE DON’T FIND OUT WHO THE FATHER IS (CHAPTER 14-15 & THERE IS 19 CHAPTERS TOTAL).

I HONESTLY KEPT SAYING BOTH THESE MEN DESERVE BETTER UNTIL THE END WHERE SHE TELLS ROBERT “𝐎𝐇 𝐈 𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐘” & HE IS LIKE “𝐔𝐌 𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐊 𝐈 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐎 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐇𝐈𝐌” & THEN SHE SLEEPS WITH ROBERT. 10 HOURS LATER SHE WAKES UP AND GOES TO BRODY “ 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐈 𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓” AND WHAT DOES HE DO “ 𝐖𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍’𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐒 “ & ASKS HER TO BE HIS GF…. & F*CKS HER. LIKE WHY DID SHE GET NO BACKLASH. WHAT ARE THESE WEAK ASS MEN AND THIS PATHETIC WOMAN.

OF COURSE THEN WE FINALLY FIND OUT BRODY IS THE FATHER, ROBERT KNEW ALL ALONG BECAUSE A DNA TEST HE DID AND KEPT SECRET (HE RAISED HER DAUGHTER AS HIS OWN KNOWING IT WASN’T HIS FROM THE BEGINNING)

I FELT NOTHING. NO ANGST OR EMOTIONS. I MEAN HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE SHE LOVES BRODY WHEN SHE WAS PLAYING BOTH MEN AND BEING IMMATURE AF FROM PAGE 1 & NOW THEY ALL FRIENDS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 LIKE BRODY AND ROBERT BEST FRIENDS & MAGNOLIA AND ROBERT BEST FRIENDS STILL. WHO ALLOWED THIS TO BE PUBLISHED?

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Note 2: This is a duet. Please read in order.

Wowowowowowow, this duet was fantabulous!

Willow's writing has definitely improved as I read this duet this time around. I mean I could feel sparks again when I thought of spending time again with the MCs, they were just that damn cute and perfect for each other.

Sure they both have problems, come from different worlds, and different ideas for the words "settling down" but still fate wants to get them together - and who can deny fate?

The chemistry, the emotional bonding, the banter - hehe I always had a thing for the banter, and just how they tackle issues to get to where they are as a couple - breathtaking and mind-blowing.

Plus the side characters were wonderful too - hope they get their stories someday too - they were just so sweet and caring towards the MCs, I loved it.

Overall, a wonderful duet, and I can't wait for more by Willow.

Until the next read,

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Secret baby/love triangle/second chance
Angst: 😱😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥

Four years ago, Magnolia's long time boyfriend abruptly broke it off with her. She ends up having a one night stand with a stranger and three months later, she figures out she's pregnant, alone, and has no way to get in contact with the man who is likely the baby's father. Magnolia ends up going home, the town's pariah, to lean on her ex for some physical, mental, and emotional comfort. When her ONS strolls into town four years later, Magnolia is once again immediately drawn to him and has some big secrets to tell. If that isn't enough, her ex decides to finally make a move and declare himself. Now, she's torn between two men - one, her long time love and the other, the person who is lighting a fire in her soul.

Good lord! The angst! This is seriously the highest angst level I've ever read and would have given in a 10 on my angstometer if I went that high, lol. Willow Winters is a fabulous writer who's characters have SO much depth and personality, but this book was just a big old nope for me. While I commiserated with the heroine and understood her feelings, she made hugely questionable decisions that I just could not get on board with and I felt her indecisiveness was just too over the top. Additionally, the hero and her ex's acceptance of those decisions seemed unrealistic to me. Like I said, the writing was fabulous and the character development fantastic, but this story (and honestly, the level of angst) was just not my jam. Definitely a case of, "it's not you, it's me". I'll definitely be reading Ms. Winters again, but maybe I'll try sticking to the books she writes under W. Winters ❤️ .

I really wanted to like this book but I found the lead character so annoying. I wanted to strangle most of the book. Her undecisiveness was too much. It was very repetitive and Magnolia was just unlikable for me.

It is very very rarely when it happens for me to give 3 star on a book. I read other books from Willow Winters and they were really good. But sadly this one wasn't for me. I couldn't feel the connection between Brody and Magnolia.

I am thankful for the ARC from Valentine PR and I really appreciate that they still gave me the chance to read it.

Book One leaves us with a crazy cliffhanger, and book two fixes us right up. Magnolia, Robert, and Brody navigate living in a small town where people talk way too much about business that is not their own. A few moments felt dragged on, and I wasn't a fan of the love triangle that occurred, but overall, the story gave me all the sweetness that I needed.

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tequila Rose

This book is an absolute must read. If you love small-town contemporary romance this is a perfect book for you. I am dying to read more about Magnolia and Brody. I was instantly addicted to them and I can’t wait to see where the story takes them. This is a semi-love triangle with Magnolia’s ex, Robert, who let me point out, I’m not a fan of at all. He seems so shifty, slimy, and up to no good. Magnolia and Brody are such a great couple and I can’t wait to see how things play out between the two of them. They are sweet, swoony, and have impeccable chemistry!

While reading my ARC I also was able to listen to the audiobook since it came out before the book was released. Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet are the narrators and they did an absolutely phenomenal job. I thoroughly enjoyed the audio for this book and I thought it made my reading experience even better.

I highly recommend this small town romance read. It’ll leave you breathless and wanting more!

Autumn Night Whiskey

Willow, Willow, Willow. You really had me for a second. You did. I thought you might do me dirty, but thankfully it ended the way I was rooting for!!

I literally cannot tell you how much I love this book. Let me just start off by saying that I’m not a humongous fan of love triangles. I don’t mind reading them but I’m not actively searching for one to read. However, this book and the series overall, easily pulled me into the story and willingly let me devour it in one sitting. I was completely enamored with Magnolia, Brody and Robert. The real and raw emotions that each of them felt really hit me in the feels. Autumn Night Whiskey is a perfect book to cuddle up with a blanket outside on a cool spring/summer night. This small town romance will really pull at your heart strings and make you want more. Because I really want more. This is an absolute must read from me. If you’re looking for something super sweet, real and will fill you with tons of emotions, this is something I highly recommend picking up!!

This review is for the audio of this duet. The reason(s) for making that distinction I’ll explain a little further down, but it should be noted I did not read this story.

*sigh*

Honestly, had I *read* this journey, I don’t think I would have made it very far. Almost every aspect of Magnolia made less than zero sense to me. She’s young (but not that young), I get that, but her decision-making process left a lot to be desired. In my headspace, she came across as selfish, indecisive, and just not likeable. She doesn’t just feel for two different men, she actively has romantic encounters with both. That’s just a bit much for me. Also, this triangle takes up almost the entire journey. Seriously? How am I supposed to believe in two people when a minute ago they were three? Was it necessary to be in a triangle for almost two whole books?

*sigh*

Lastly, these men …. I mean, REALLY? There was little to no backlash for Magnolia having sex with one then turning to the other when the sun rose and decided he was the one for forever. REALLY? Then they all become best buddies. REALLY?

*sigh*

I can’t erase how some of the actions and reactions between these three really made my eyes roll, but because I was listening to their story and not reading it, I was able to push thru and finish the duet. It has been my experience, that listening to a story makes it a lot easier to forgive aspects of the story that any other time would make you rage or roll your eyes. That’s just me.

I will leave you with this … I’ve never read a triangle story that I loved so I may have had some biases towards the story before it even had time to get off the ground. Who knows? I do know that biases or not, the decisions made in this book by all involved where a whole lot of ridiculous #fuckery for me but if you like OTT triangles, then this one might be one you want to #oneclick.

I’m a sucker for a good small town romance and I’ve been a small town romance mood recently so I went on book tok for some recommendations. Maybe that’s where I went wrong. After reading the description of the book I was really excited to read it because it sounded like my kinda book but what I wasn’t expecting was a love triangle. I HATE LOVE TRIANGLES!!!! In the description of the book and the first couple chapters of the book it’s made very clear that brody is main love interest. And for a while it’s good and you can see there budding romance but then the author has to go in and include the second love interest who might I add is her first love. It’s annoying because the author sets you up to hate him by having Robert break her heart which led to her hook up with brody, but then we later find out is that they have basically been in a relationship for the past three years and he is basically the father of her child!! The second part of the book basically ignores her budding relationship with Brody and just solidifies that her and Robert are soulmates but the author still expects you to believe that she is falling in love with brody. You finally find out who Bridget’s father is around the 70% mark and magnolias first thought isn’t yay it’s brody but rather oh no how am I going to tell Robert he is such a big part of our life. I’m sorry magnolia but no one actually believes you are more in love with brody. I just couldn’t read anymore of this bullshit. There were so many plot points introduced that would have been great to explore but the author just stopped mentioning them. From the way the author wrote them to you would think they are important but no they are just a bleep on the radar like what happened with the fathers girlfriend?!?!? Basically the bottom line of this story is that magnolia is an indecisive bitch!!!

Going backwards and forwards started to get irritating

I got about 60% into the story and then just couldn't anymore. Just could not like Magnolia and her actions seemed immature.

i was so nervous to read this book. it had a love triangle, second chance romance AND a secret baby. basically, all the tropes i detest.

i decided to read this book anyway because i trust Willow Winters so incredibly much. i have loved every single one of her books so this one shouldn’t be different. spoiler alert, i really liked this book. it was nothing that i have never read before but was so beautifully written, it made me happy!!

i’m not going to lie. the love triangle screwed with me. i (kind of) knew who the h was going to end up with but since it was a love triangle, i still wasn’t too sure. all i knew that this book was definitely going to keep me on the edge of my seat, and it did. i liked the h. yes, she made mistakes but it was her journey of finding love, of finding a soulmate and i am so happy she did, in the end. i especially loved the flashbacks where we got to see her personality and it truly built up her character. the reader was along for the journey of Magnolia’s character development and i rooted for her along the way! i loved that we got to see the two male characters backstory as well, it just all ties into the more personal connection the reader had to the characters (even though i honestly did not like Robert that much) Brody was a superstar, hot babe though 😍😍 !!!!

this book had all the angst and the love and the development that all book should have! it was beautifully written and i resonated with the characters as well. i have never been let down by Willow Winters as she is actually pushing me out of my comfort zone when reading! if you’re looking for a angsty, coming of age, heartfelt read, this book is perfect for that!!

Oh be still heart, be still...

After reading this, I didn't think it could get any better, but I was wrong. I listened to the audiobook and it was perfection... and I think this may be one of Willow Winters best books to date. Her softer and steamier side anyway! W. Winters and her dark romance will always have a special place in my heart.

As always, Ms Winters blows me away with her amazing ability to pull me into a story so deeply that I feel like I am a part of it.

Another amazing and all-consuming read from Willow Winters. This duet took hold of my heart from the very beginning and it didn't let it go the entire way through. This small-town romance is full of love, passion, heartache. Emotions are high, love is on the line. Who will win Magnolia's heart in this love triangle? Brody or Robert? Take a leap into this duet and find out! It is a MUST READ.

5 Stars!

I absolutely adore Willow Winters' writing; her writing technique is flawless. Whether it's dark or sweet romances, she does an amazing job! If you haven't read any of her work as yet, you are definitely missing out. You should start ASAP!

Small Town Big Rumors AKA "The Tequila Rose duet" is a small town and second chance romance. It's an excellent read; I was so into the story, and then all of a sudden, I was at the end. Yes, book #1, Tequila Rose, ends on a cliffhanger. And oh, boy! What a cliffhanger! The story focuses on the main female protagonist: Magnolia.

In Tequila Rose, you'll get an insight into Brody's character (one of Magnolia's love interests); you will see his perspective. However, in book #2, "Autumn Night Whiskey", you'll understand Robert's perspective as well. And how it deeply affected him; the consequences of the decisions he made in the past.

You can feel all the characters' emotions while you are reading: their heartbreaks, desires, longing and regrets. Willow Winters' work is like a piece of art, an art piece that is so beautiful that it takes your breath away. And her writing continues to surprise me every time I read a new book of hers. I truly loved how this storyline evolved; it unfolded beautifully. I especially loved the side characters Magnolia, really does have a great group of friends a support network that got her through the difficult times. And, as always, Willow Winters' concluded this story amazingly!

In Tequila Rose, the author tells the story of a single mother in a small town where everyone has something to say. When Magnolia faces a family crisis and does not have privacy, along with the stigma of living outside the norm, it is fascinating to see how she deals with these issues. This duet was interesting and full of content. This story proved that love isn't always black or white, and was sweet and steamy with incredible chemistry. There was a small-town vibe that I really enjoyed, and I loved all the characters' personalities. I completely understood what Magnolia was feeling. I understood her situation well. The fact that she admits that she sometimes doesn't know what she's doing and owns up to her actions was a pleasure to listen to. This book drew me in immediately, and I really connected with Magnolia's character. It was interesting to hear Robert's point of view on Autumn Night Whisky. It changed my opinion of his character. I can feel the emotions that flow through this book. A beautiful ending for Tequila Rose.

When a one night stand ends up giving you more than just a good time.

Magnolia left town years ago after a scandal that included her father and her getting knocked up. She's now back in town, little girl in tow and she ends up running into the men of her past.

Robert, Magnolia's ex, and possibly the father of her daughter wants back into her life.

Brody, Magnolia's memory from long ago, wants to pick up where they left off before she disappeared.

Yes, it's a love triangle that is done in such a beautiful and realistic way that you can't help but love the story.

So who ends up winning the hearts of both these ladies?

Narrated by the very talented Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet.

Really liked this small town romance story.
FMC trying to figure out her life which at her age I think is pretty relatable. She has wonderful growth by the end of the book. MMC is so sweet and a total golden retriever. The plot was perfect, kept you guessing and trying to figure out what was going to happen. There was tension and angst.
There is also: Love triangle, second chance, and “who’s baby is it” tropes

There was only one thing that bothered me in this book which is why it lost a star. Some of the choices the FMC made in the beginning, I just wasn’t a big fan of. But the more the story went on and developed, it helped put some of her choices into perspective. Just not really my thinking on this situation.

Tequila Rose book 1

Another great book Willow. I loved everything from the characters to the plot and everything else in between. Such a cute story about Magnolia and Brody getting a second chance. Highly recommend if you like emotional but stories with cliffhangers. I can't wait to see what happens in the conclusion of this duet.

Autumn Whiskey book 2

Autumn Night Whiskey is the conclusion to the Tequila Rose duology and I gotta say the ending to duology was wrapped up in a nice little bow. Highly recommend every reader to read book 1 Tequila Rose and this book because it was everything that I wanted in a story.

I've only ever read Willow Winter's dark & kinky books, so finally getting to read a sweet, angsty romance from her was such a treat! I'm slowly working my way through her backlist (which is huuuge) and I can't believe I waited so long to read her Tequila Rose duet! Thankfully she's publishing those two books into one, so I finally got the chance to tackle this adorable small town romance.

Single mother Magnolia is torn between two men and is at the forefront of her small town's rumor mill. Robert and Brody are both in love with Mags and her little girl, and one of them may or may not be her daughter's father. Throw in all the gossip and angst, Willow gives us a beautiful love story of a woman just trying to do her best. I loved the small town vibes of this book - it was so realistic. Being from a small town myself, I know all about how fast rumors and gossip travel. I also loved that this book was set in South Carolina (my home!!) and it made me want to take a trip to the always lovely low country.

Like all of Willow's books, Small Town, Big Rumors sucked me in from the beginning to end. I loved Magnolia and would love to be friends with her in real life. The only thing keeping me from giving this book 5 stars is that I would have loved for it to be steamier, as Willow writes some of the best spicy scenes. Other than that, this book was glorious and a much needed break from dark romance!

Thank you to Willow Winters for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review!

Not my favourite by W.Winters if I’m being honest. All though I have only read her dark romance books so this was new. The FMC was super annoying and I didn’t like her at all. The decisions she made, and the fact that the MMC(s) just accepted her decisions was very strange to me

Tequila Rose - The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else ... right??? But in Magnolia's world that one night stand leaves her with so much more when Brody ends up in her hometown to stay. Not only does she have to deal with dealing with Brody, but of course the man who originally dumped her is still in the picture. Who will she chose and will Brody ever find out about the one thing that might possibly connect them forever? Once again Willow Winters created characters that the reader instantly falls in love with while at the same time hooking them into a storyline and not letting them go. This might be a quick read but it certainly leaves you breathless and at the same time hanging on for more.

Autumn Night Whiskey - They say that when one door closes another door opens and that will lead your future in the right direction - but what happens when two separate doors continue to open and close and you are stuck in the middle. Loving two men and having to choose who your true love is is exactly the same thing for Magnolia. Should she love Brody? Should she love Robert? Who is the baby daddy and who is her forever heart? So many decisions all wrapped up in a wonderful second installment that Willow Winters wrote. Captivating the readers and taking them along the bumpy ride was a joy from start to finish.

One Chance meeting will change their lives as they know it. Three years ago, Magnolia Williamson got dumped and goes to a bar to unwind from her troubles. There she meets a handsome stranger named Brody Paine. Being recently heartbroken, she decides to tell him her name is Rose. One night to forget her troubles...what could happen, right? Well, that one night will change her life forever. She never thought they would ever see each other again in South Carolina. Brody can’t forget that mystery girl from the bar. Can he find her? What happens when secrets of the past threaten to change the present? This is an emotional, slow burn, semi triangle, second chance romance with all the feels. I can’t wait to see what happens in Autumn Night Whisky. Told in dual POV and ends in a cliffhanger.

Magnolia, Brody and Robert are all back in this complicated romance. Can Robert prove he truly never stopped caring for her? Will Magnolia be able to choose who her heart truly wants? When your past love and present meet, some decisions will always hurt someone. Once the truth of who is really Bridget’s father comes out, who will Magnolia choose? This is the continuation of the tequila rose duet and will have you rooting on both these men! A rollercoaster of emotions wrapped up in this small town romance. I really enjoyed these characters and all they go through. A sweet and emotional romance that will pull at your heartstrings. Told in multiple POV

This duet was everything I had hoped it would be and more! It’s perfection in written form. To say I love this duet is an understatement. Willow Winters knows how to create an entire world of characters that you want to learn more about and catch up with them. I was captivated from start to finish. This duet is heart-wrenching in its emotional highs and lows of the main character’s struggles as they help each other try to get what they each need.

Magnolia (Rose) Williamson is a small town girl from Beaufort, SC, who left home to attend a university on the east coast, and during this time, her boyfriend (Robert) broke up with her, leaving her heartbroken, so she decided to go out to a bar. A chance encounter occurs with a man at the bar—Brody (Paine). He was hot as hell, handsome, tall, and sexy. Magnolia didn’t know much about Brody—he is a stranger—and yet, he’s not, he flirted with her, he kissed her, and he hooked up with her. As it is said, one way to get over one man is to get under another one, right? And, one thing you never do is give a stranger your real name, right! Just like the saying in Vegas—what happens in the city, stays in the city! Since Brody is a stranger and what happened between them was only meant to be a one night stand—nothing more, so why stick around.

Low and behold, Brody happened to move to the small town of Beaufort—is this a coincidence or not! Just as things were looking up for Magnolia and Brody, life throws them both a curve ball. This one thing becomes the catalyst for their actions throughout the story. That one scene… OMG, be ready because even though I knew it was coming—it still got to me. There is a good dose of unrequited pining where we get to be Magnolia and go through all of her emotions with her as she struggles with her love of the past and love of the future. This is the ultimate love triangle between Magnolia, Brody, and Robert. Who will win Magnolia’s heart? Place your bets—this will be one round you surely don’t want to miss! Their journey is full of deception, hurt, trust, secrets and lies. What is the secret Magnolia is hiding? Find out what happens next! This story is entertaining and fervent with a dash of dreams coming true. Willow Winters’s eloquent and fluid writing style is flawless and addictive with an engaging love story of artfully developed main characters. I HIGHLY recommend this duet. Loved this duet. Below are my reviews of both.

Tequila Rose:
I absolutely loved this book. It is amazing how Willow Winters is able to write so many sub genres in the romance field. This book is a bit more on the cometary and sweeter side along with just the right amount of angst and feels compared to her more darker books (Merciless World), and other standalone books. Magnolia and Brody's story was written so beautifully. You really get the sense that they are more than the one night they shared together. Both are dealing with recent pain when they meet and find solace in each other. Of course, there is more to their story and the connection they have never seems to go away even after they go their separate ways. Four years later Brody finds himself in Magnolia's small town and discovers they have more of a connection than he expected. Magnolia has been trying to survive in this small town where everyone seems to be in everyone's business. Gossip seems to be a past time. She is trying to survive and raise her three year old daughter. Her ex is still a part of her life. Magnolia sees him as one of the only allies she has. There is a tangle to unwind between the three of them. Magnolia has some decisions to make. This book pulls you in and doesn't let go. There is a cliffhanger at the end and I for one can not wait for the next book.

Autumn Night Whiskey:
This was a wonderful conclusion to Brody and Magnolia's story. Again, I was on the edge of my seat reading it. I liked the idea of getting a bit of Robert's pov in regards to why he acted the way he did when he ended things with Magnolia four years ago. It made me understand why Magnolia was so confused at times with the feelings she had for Robert as well as Brody. Though it is obvious she loved them differently and for different reasons. Brody is the love of her life and she comes to realize what she has with him is so deep and passionate. The chemistry between them is so strong. Robert at times I wanted to yell at him for some of the things he did. I get that he loves Magnolia but does he see and understand what he put her through? This is a very well written book and Ms Winters knows how to pull at your heartstrings. Absolutely loved the HEA. I can not wait for Asher's story.
