[close] About Us: BCSS is a vibrant community of individuals committed to exploring the intersection of spirituality and social justice through the power of literature. Our book club provides a platform for meaningful discussions, personal growth, and collective action towards creating a more just and compassionate world. Our Mission: We believe that true transformation begins with inner awakening and manifests through purposeful action. Our mission is to cultivate a supportive and respectful environment where members can delve into spiritual teachings, engage in critical dialogue, and translate insights into tangible initiatives that promote equity, empathy, and social change. How It Works: When we select a new book to explore, our discussions span over 1 to 3 months, taking into account both its level of difficulty and length. Our meetings take place through online discussions once a month, for 2 hours. While the day and time are regular, we remain flexible to accommodate varying schedules. The club is led by a dedicated Coordinator who is elected among members every year. The coordinator manages logistics, announcements, communication, and overall club functioning. Every member has the opportunity to take turns leading discussions as a facilitator.
