Sooo...I love my OTT alpha heroes that can also be at times more dark and more the anti hero but what I just read does trully push my limits. If you think this is a sweet story where little boy meets little girl and they bloom together into their adult lives, you would be so mistaken. It's true they are each others firsts but holly smoks! The hero isn't really a hero, not even your usual anti hero. Nope, he's a straight up psychopath and that's saying something. He enjoys in his killings and we are made aware in detail how and what he does to his victims. But as love goes, you can't choose whom you fall in love with. I'm so glad we get both main characters POV, since beeing in his head answered so many questions and you could better understand his actions and feelings. And I cannot believe what I'm about to say, but I actually grew to like him. I know, weird, but honestly when you see the way he loves her and and how much he loves her, it's just (dark) magic. He would do anything and I mean really anything to keep her and that's what he in the end also does. All I'm saying is that there will be blood, gore and more blood. And I strangely loved it. When I first read what the book was all about I was super intrigued and I'm so glad I went for it and read it. To say that the stories are not what your usually read would be is an understatement. They are, at least to me, a mix of wonder, sadness, craziness and simply something that will leave you thinking about strange things. Each story is unique, so you will never be bored or uninterested. But I have to warn you, these stories are not for the faint-hearted. They are messy, even dark and definitely not a light read. But I'm sure that in the end you will find yourself enjoying them. If not, then maybe it's just me who's strange enough to like them. ;)

The characters are so fucked up, it's not even funny. One says that and then does the other. The drama, too much. I skimmed more or less through the whole story, since I couldn't connect with the plot and characters. In the end I simply didn't even care what happens to them. I know there is a lot of abuse that happened in the past and that leads to the heroines bahaviour but for fucks sake! She's truly crazy! I mean, what the actual fuck! To aks that of the man you supposedly love?! Just no! And then what happens between them (the OM)!!! Nope! I was so done by then. The emotions are all over the place and as I said, I just didn't give a damn anymore. They could just do what they wanted but for me that's not healthy true love! Also, I felt really bad for Bones. I mean they just toyed with him and his emotions! Yeo says he doesn't wants to do the things he does with him, then at one point wants to cut him out of his relationship with her and then what happens? They end up making a bigger mess and again Yeo simply screws with Bones (literally). I'm so done with this story.
This is not a read I enjoyed and I hope in the future I will find a story from this author that will make me feel the things I felt when I read War & Peace. ...more

What the heck did I just read?!!! This story is so complex and strange and just plays tricks on my mind. And what's up with the ending, or should I say endings? I'm just so confused right now. This is definitely a read that will mess you up and make you wonder about your own life and the concept of love and sacrifice. The plot is so unique. It all takes place in space but the main characters skip back and forth between their real situation and memory line. This is such a heart breaking story and at times it's almost a tragedy. We get to see in their memories how they met and how their relationship evolved. They had so much pain but also such strong love for each other and in their strange world that's really something to be treasured. At the beginning of he story I found it hard to imagine the world they live in and what caused the earth to become so divided. It reminded me a bit of Divergent and how that world looks like. In the end I'm still not sure how to feel about this book. At times I loved it but there were also times where I just didn't know what to feel. I think the worst was the time where they broke up and what happened after that. Just so sad.
All in all, I think you should give this story a chance. It's an unusual one and it might surprise you. ...more

I couldn't stop reading and page after page the plot thickened. I want to know that the heck happened to Elder in the past that still haunts him till this day. And thank god for the double POV, seriously. Sometimes I wasn't impressed with Pim's behaviour but I get what she has to deal with and that simply needs time and a lot of patience. I only wished they would do more about their insane connection (not that they didn't do anything). The end!!! The freaking end!!! That was so mean! I want to know what happens next so bad! I cannot wait for the next book! I know their relationship will take time but I just hope that the cliffy doesn't stir the plot in some strange way. I want more of them together! They are like two missing puzzles and I truly wish nothing tears them apart. I have a feeling that perhaps we will see the bastard that got away again and that might cause some mayor drama in the future. That would be an interesting twist for sure. But till then, I can only wait for the next book to come out (which it hopefully does soon). :)...more

Wow, I'm really surprised by how good this book turned out to be. I, as per usual nowadays, went into reading it completely blank. I think that's my new way of reading books. If the cover fits... Anyway, this is a solid four star read, that's for sure. The plot has such great dynamic and flow, we get to see throuout the whole book what happened in the past and how that still affects each of Sophia team member that was back then kidnapped and tortured. She has such an amazing family and team that supports her all the way, even when demons from the past threaten to undo all the good that has happened to her since she got back from the mission. Deadly Hunt is therefore a very appropriate book title. I think the book has a great mix of romance and action/mystery.
As far as the characters go, I liked the main ones the best. Nathan can be an alpha and very possessive an protective but at the same time he cares very deeply. To Sophia he's such a teddy bear, it was so cute to read his POV and all the feelings he has for her. This book has it's hilarious moments and both POVs, Nathan and Sophia's, make tha possible. As for Sophia, she's one tough cookie! I for sure wouldn't mess with her, you never know when you'd get your nose broken. She's very loyal and an amazing friend that you can rely on and that comes to life when one of her friends finally tells her why she's so changed now. There were characters that I liked more and some I simply couldn't even stand. From being fake to being just a horrible person. Anyhow, I think I liked Sophia's family the most and I wonder if we'll get their stories, too. I would definitely read them. :)
Safety:(view spoiler)[Triggers: Violence, torture, killing, an almost miscarriage. Other than that it's a safe read. There is almost no OW drama, the little that is, is just not mention worthy. Believe it or not but this is my second book by this author and I didn't like the first one that I've read by her. So I don't know what hit me when I picked up this book but I got to tell you, I freaking love it! Seriously, the story is right up my alley. The plot is dark with lots of elements that would make the reader really feel the pain and the live that Tasmin or as she is later called Pim is living every single day at the hands of her buyer/captor/master.
After trusting the wrong person, Pim's life makes a 180° turn and we get to see all almost all the gory details of her captivity. She get's beaten so many times, I honestly don't know how she's still alive and not only that, the beatings are not the worst part. The sexual and mental abuse are most horrific parts of her captivity. She gets depersonified and is treated as an expensive possession, master's favourite toy, that he quite often likes to share with his horrible friends. I have so much respect and empathy for her. She's such a strong character and I love how the story unfolds. They may have broken her body but they never broke her spirit and that is what makes her a survivor and not just a victim. The ending is my favourite part, since we get to see at least some justice for what's been done to her.
Her captor is an extreme sadist and clearly very disturbed. No sane person would do such horror as he did. We get to see glimpses of his mental instability, like near the end of the story, and his obsession with his possession is truly on a level I will never fully understand. I think you'd have to be at least a bit mentally ill to fully grasp his reasons for his doings. His friends very pure evil but he himself, is in my opinion, just a sick individual that needed some serious help. But in the end, I guess fate took that into it's own hands and I'm actually really glad by the story's ending.
Now, as for Elder's character, I still don't quite get him. He's not a good person but I also don't think he's a completely evil one, either. He's definitely intrigued by this girl, who writes s many notes to No One. We get to see some glimpses of his personality in his POV but I think there is still so much hidden and that makes him a very unpredictable yet very interesting person.

I think the following books will be quite entertaining and with many plot twists. I definitely am looking forward to that and can't wait for the next book to come out!

This is my first read by this author and I'm so happy I found her! The best thing ever! This story, I still can't fully comprehend what just happened. Wow, I feel like I've just re-lived what each character in this book went through and it's A LOT! The story and plot are so complex, interesting and just a lot to take in. You have one plot and that is to find the killer (or possible killers) but the way the story unfolds is very fascinating, at least to me. So many twists I didn't see coming. You see the story progress through each more importand character, that leaves another clue of who the killer is and what happened in the past that lead to this event in the present. Just the efford and brilliance of the writer to make this puzzle and then pull off the conclusion, that is mindblowing btw, is just amazing! As a person who studies law, I fell completely in love with this story. It shows you the way the police thinks, the way the killer(s) thinks, the way the victims and their families think...wow! Absolutely love it! Also, if you want a HEA, forget it! We Europeans do things differently. We tell a story that hurts the most but also stays in your memory for a really lng time. Yes, there might be a smal HEA but I still believe that the tragic story overshadows that by a lot. Also, when you've finished the story, I hope you take a minute and wonder what lead to that critial point that took so many lives. Because the story has a strong message that shouldn't be ignored! These are themes that might lead to discomfort of some readers but that's exctly the point of the book. Just take a chance and read it! What a brilliant writer!

I don't even know where to start. The plot is so intriguing and fascinating and keeps you on edge the whole freaking time!!! I've read the whole book in just one sitting and let me tell you, it was so worth it! Who needs sleep anyway, right? Exactly!!!
So the story starts with a kidnapping of a young girl, named Prescott, that did something in her past and managed to get on te bad site of one of the big drug dealers. Safe to say, her life took a huge change. From being a spoiled rich girl, who had it all to a small drug dealer, who fights for her life on the daily basis. So what happens now that they got her in their evil clutches and what did she do that was worth killing her? All I'm gonna say is that you simply have to read this awesome story to find out! The plot has so many twists, some good, some bad and that keeps your attention throughout the whole story.
They thinnk of me as a rich bitch, a frail little toy. Little do they know that I'm not a toy, I'm a storm. and I'm going to rip their lives apart.
Prescott, the young girl who managed to find herself in such a peculiar situation. Gosh, I loved her character. She is badass!!! Her background story is so heart wrenching and so horrible. What they did to her was just inhuman and those were clearly the actions of pure evil! But she survived it all and now she's stronger, smarter and out for their blood! Vengeance is such a pure thing, it serves only one purpose and that is justice. And Prescott will get it, even if she has to lie, cheat, beg and kill.
Who is Beat? Who is Nate? Who is Nathaniel Thomas Vela? And who is Chris? Little tip, they are all the same person but different personalities. One is a captor, one is nice, one is a killer and one is a free man with new hopes and dreams. First we meet Beat. Wow, he's one twisted human being but at the same time so lonely and in a way a captured bird himself.
He said he chose it because it was the easiest mask to find, but I know the truth. Guy Fawkes represents chaos, anarchy, and dark deeds that are done behind closed doors.
When he was younger he went to prison for a crime that was in my eyes (and always will be) an act of self defense. No one should be a victim of domestic violence and every act agains the violator is self defence! But as fate would have it, nothing in his life is easy. And neither is prison. So he does what he has to to stay alive. And that includes selling his soul to the devil.
...loneliness is a terrible thing. A close cousin to death. Sometimes, you need company, even if it's from the devil.
But spending time with his captive, Prescott, his believes slowly start to change. He doesn't want any longer to be a pawn, he wants his life back! And if he has to switch teams to get it, so be it!
She's life, and I'm death.
Godfrey, Seb, Ink and Camden...

This isn't gonna be a long review, since I've already reviewed each book separately. I loved both stories. In the first book you get to know the characters, their fears, reasons why they do the things they do and also you get to see a glimpse of what's to come. In the second book the pieces are slowly starting to fall into place and the characters bond emotionally but in the end still chose to stay faithful to ther believes. And although there is one huge misunderstanding that is the cataclyst for the main plot of the third book, I still enjoyed reading the story. Both books are action packed and full of mistrust but also full of a certain kind of love that they developed for each other, despite their past. All I can say is, both books are worth your time and money. In both stories there is definitely something for everyone in it, so happy reading! :)

First off, I love this series so much that I simply had to buy the paperback version immediately! Second off, you remember the crazy cliffhanger from the first book? Yeah, wait till you read the ending of this one. It's like the mother of all cliffhangers (it's not a real cliffy but when you'll read it, you'll get what I mean)! Seriously, how could Webster do that to us?!!! It's super mean but at the same time just brilliant. If there is to be another book in this series, it's a must read for me, that's for sure!

Now, the author made it super difficult with her blurb to not give away any spoilers but I'll try. So, please, bare with me.
So, what do we know from book one? We know that Baylee went through hell at the hands of Gabe, the evil socyopath that trains and sells sex slaves but is also in his own insane way in love with Baylee (but don't worry, he still sells her and then gets her back). We also know that at the beginning of the first book Baylee has a sweet boyfriend, Brandon, who we meet only in the prologue. Then of course there is Warren aka War. The sweet and broken angel who needs Bay to help him heal and function in this dark world of his but in turn he also saves and helps heal Bay from the evil she endured with Gabe.
Now I understand how one could die of a broken heart. It’s happening to me. I’m drowning in despair. The devil slayed my heart when he killed my War. And now I’m back. With him. Gabe, the monster who haunts my nightmares.
Yes, you read that right. Our poor Baylee is again in the devils clutches... You can imagine what she's going through again, if you've read the first book. All I will say about Gabe is that he trully is the devil and we all know the devil cannot be killed by a mortal's hand. When you read the book, you'll do well to remember that!
I’m no longer the docile child he once knew. The frightened animal he thinks he so easily trained and subdued. I’ll make his life a living hell. It’s only fair since that’s what he’s done to mine.
Also, remember when I said that Bay had a sweet boyfriend, Brandon? Yeah, he plays a big role in this story but probably not in a role you'd expect him to. The sweet boy ain't so sweet anymore, also not as sane anymore. But what, if the sweet boy was never so good and sane in the first place...
This isn’t the boy who I cried for when Gabe took me. Gone is the boy from my past. This man is a product of Gabe’s actions. Gabe created the monster before me.
Baylee's live is not her own anymore and she has to figure out her next move in the game of chess. There can only be one winner and as she goes from one monster to another, she intents to be the one who wins it all.
These two men think they have a right to me and my body. But only one person truly owns me, and it’s my heart he owns. That man is honest and pure and wholesome. Deserving. It’s time to end this war, for my War. Time to show them I’m not a pawn. I’m the motherfucking queen. This is war, baby. And I will win. Death is the only probable sentence.
I'm not gonna say squat about War. I'll leave that to your own imagination. All I will say tho, is that Baylee's story will blow your mind! The plot it just amazing and the twists are perfectly placed. Your emotions will be all over the place and believe, you will love it! If you haven't read the story yet, then do it NOW!!! It will not disappoint!

Well, I can say with great certainty that this book was not what I expected. Like, not at all!!! While reading the blurb I knew the story was going to be dark but I had no clue just how raw, emotionally draining and what terrible horrors it truly hid. The thing that impressed and at the same time scared me the most was how realistic the whole story was written. And I have no doubts that I'm in for a restless night of sleep ahead of me. One thing is for sure, this book is not for the faint hearted readers.
It’s a good thing that you believe in God, because you are going to need him in this case. There is a battle waging between good and evil, and if you aren’t careful, you might find yourself on the wrong side.
Dark Secrets is horror mixed with paranormal elements and also a slight touch of romance. We get multiple POVs and they make the story more alive and easy to understand. Main POVs you could say are Detective Norris and Misty's. They tell the majority of the plot but we also get glimpses from other characters. After being in almost every characters mind, I can say for sure that at least half of them are not sane. Not by a long shot! Also, the main conflict of this plot is the battle between evil and good, a dark cult and one determined police detective that with the help of survivors tries to bring justice to a world where law alone cannot defeat the evils of this world.
This whole case was a bit over whelming with all the twists and turns, witches and covens, dead kids, missing children, and now Anna’s confession of a dark secret.
What I liked about this amazing yet on a level quite disturbing story is that Misty never gave up on life. She fought for her every breath and every tear was a testament to her strenght for the unberable pain she had to endure. I cannot believe she made it though all that and came out relatively sane. She has a lot to learn about her past to survive was is to come but I'm pretty sure she will come out as the winner. She definitely earned my respect.
Besides Misty I also liked Norris. He's a good guy who is willing to go out of his comfort zone to solve this case. He never gave up, despite many warnings that it could not end well for him and those he loves should he choose to further pursue the case. Ha cared and I think that's what mattered the most. The only thing that he should have done differently, in my opinion, is that he should have not let himself be seduced at the end by a bratty woman, who I still don't trust despite everything that happened.
I know how it sounds. I know how it appears, but things are not always as they seem. Evil has many faces.
My thoughts exactly! I guess we will find out what happens next in the second installment of this series, Brewing Storm.

Wow, it's been a while since I've read a book that's similar to Beneath the burn. So, it's safe to say that I freaking looooved it!!! I love the raw and gritty and filthy stuff that the author throws at our 'innocent' minds. This is not a light-hearted read and it's definitely not for everyone. If you don't like sexual and psyhical abuse, humiliation and above all enslavement, then please move on. The rest of you perverted minds, welcome!
This story is devided in two main parts but for me there were three. First we get to see a glimpse of Baylee as the normal teenager with a normal boyfriend Brandon. Then the story transitions to where she gets taken by Gabe and is then trained to become a mindless sexual slave. In the final and my favourite part we get to see her being bought by Warren (War).
And all this time, beneath the jokes and friendly façade was a demon from hell waiting in the shadows for the perfect opportunity to take what wasn’t his.
Let me just say that I loathe Gabe! He's a true monster, a sociopath, sadist and a slave trader. His MO is to kidnap young women and then break their spirits only to train and turn them into sexual slaves that would literally do anything and I mean anything their new master comands them to do. But his only weaknes is his neaghbour's daughter Baylee. Over the years he became completely obsessed with her and views her as his. He still intents to sell her but he's determined to get her back later at any costs.
I’ve been here forever. Hours or days or months—my mind is on a black, endless terrifying reel. I’m in an eternal, dark hell. With nothing but the blackness and insanity slowly seeping through the cracks of my soul to keep me company.
Drag her through hell and then hold her on the other side. Nurse her soul back to health and heal all the broken parts of her. I’ll be the sun and moon in her world. All thoughts will revert back to me. Always. “Time to learn this new world of yours, sweetheart.”
What Baylee has to go through with Gabe in those two weeks that he's had her was trully horrendous. He managed to take her purity and taint it with his filthy body, take her innocent young mind only to turn it into his later downfall. Baylee is a true fighter and a damn good actress that knows what she must say and do, if she wants to stand a chance to get free from him and all that try to imprison her. But after being bought by War her biggest battle is yet to come. What happens when the new monster turns out to be a saint? And what happens when she starts to feel the inimaginable?
This man loves her. Incredibly so. Obsessively so. I should know. But he’ll never touch her again. Once I have her the way I want, she’ll never leave. ... Gabe prepared me for sexual abuse and pain. Not…whatever it is War is.
Let's just say that I liked War a hell of a better than Gabe. I'm not gonna give away anything that happened between Bay and War but one thing is for sure. Read the book, you won't regret it!!!
All that's left to say is, dear author, job well done!

Wow! I loved this story!!! It's my first one from this author and I have to say, it did not disappoint me. I've read some reviews that gave me mixed feelings about this book and at first I wasn't sure, if this book was for me. But luckily I decided to give it a shot. Sleeves is one of those reads, you either love or hate them. And I definitely loved it. What can I say? I like my books filthy.
And he ran most of all because his life was a nightmare with no touch and no hope of ever living as anything more than a monster.
Of course, Kel and Casey's story isn't just about having lots of sexy times. It's also a story about overcoming their past demons and what was done to them. Kel's past is just horrifying. From the moment he was born, all he felt was pain. I even doubt he ever truly felt kindness and love, that is till Casey.
His body woke, and the blackness that usually would’ve taken him down by now, failed to conquer him. She saved him. She freed him.
I am so thankful those two met and although their first meeting was unusual to say the least, it was still the start of their amazing journey. They learned how to heal, to love, to trust and above all how to start their new lives together.
And while I know that their story isn't for everybody, it was definitely the right one for me. So, all I can say to the author is job well done!!!
