The Song of Achilles

Some books just transport you into a magical place. This might as well be the best book I have read this year.
The Song of Achilles was in one word, Amazing. I loved it more than Circe, which was the first book I read, by the same author. I was in isolation and was looking for something to keep my mind off things. Picking up this book did wonders. I couldn't put it down and spent all night reading. Historical fiction is my favorite genre and mythology tops the list. The book is wonderfully narrated and made me want to keep turning the pages. It inspired me to read a lot more about Greek mythology and the Trojan war, in particular.
Will definitely recommend it to fans of mythology. The book deserves all the hype surrounding it.
