it was amazing
bookshelves: 2024

This was a beautiful second chance romance unlike anything I have ever read before. Yasmen & Josiah’s story was heartbreaking, inspiring, painful, and beautifully messy. Their love was one of a kind, until loss and grief pushed them away.

Their story is about growth and healing not only for yourself but for the ones you love. Although the topics in this book are heavy and traumatic, (loss, divorce, mental health, co-parenting, self-love, acceptance) they are touched on in such a powerful and respectful way.

The character development in this book is unmatched and truly authentic. I felt as though I knew each of these characters to my core and experienced so many emotions with them.

This story was heartbreaking and lovely all wrapped into one. There was never a moment that I wasn’t rooting for these characters, and I can’t wait to see where their story continues.
