I enjoyed every second of this story. It is one of the first historical romances I have read that had a gypsy(well half) as the hero. They are usually my lord this or prince that.

Amelia is very protective of her family. They only have each other, so she does what she can to make sure that they stay together and have things that they need. This of course should not be her burden because her brother Leo is the head of the family. He hasn't wanted to fill that role because he has given up on life since death of his fiancee.

Leo is the reason that Amelia meets Cam. She is out trying to save Leo from himself and goes to the club that Cam manages to look for him. Right from the very first encounter their chemistry is electrifying.

What I love most about this story is that it felt so true to life that the plot could have easily been the same in a more contemporary setting. The only differences would have been there would not have been as many prejudices, but then again who am I kidding they would probably still be there also.

Every interaction between the characters, especially Amelia and Cam, makes you stand up and take notice.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series, because I can't get enough of The Hathaways.
