it was amazing
bookshelves: favorite-2020-reads, fangirl-alert, nicole-reads-to-me

I had to cry on Megan a tiny bit about this one, and hug her a lot about it, but don't worry - both came from a place of happiness. Murderbot's emotional awareness has come so far and I am very proud of it. This book had reunions and I made a lot of high-pitched noises.

It's also made it clear that I have a particular weakness for characters who hold themselves aloof from the world facing the slow, mortifying ordeal of being known; even more so if these are characters who are more powerful than the people who come to care for them, and convinced they must keep their friends at a distance to keep them safe. Gets me where I live, y'all.

Anyhow. The emotional catharsis of this book was heady, and I kind of wanna reread all four novellas just to get a hit of it again. Then again... we have an ARC of Network Effect... so we'll probably get through that first.
