Financing a Sustainable Energy Future: IRENA side event at the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), in collaboration with Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative (SRMI) partners and UN-Energy, will hold an event on “Financing a Sustainable Energy Future: International Collaboration for De-risking Investment and Mobilizing Finance” on 9 July 2024 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The event will be convened in the margins of the 2024 UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The session will bring together representatives from countries, international organizations, and multilateral development banks to discuss current challenges, share successful strategies, and identify priorities for scaling up investments towards achieving affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all by 2030.

The event is open to delegates attending the 2024 UN High-Level Political Forum.
