About

Scope

Standardization for the performance of air conditioning systems and heat pumps, ducted and ductless, including heat recovery ventilation systems. Both heat source and sink include air and liquid (water including ground source). The performance evaluation targets capacity, input, and energy efficiency at full load conditions as well as part load conditions to calculate seasonal efficiency. Test conditions, test methods, and calculation methods are specified for these products and evaluations. SC6 also specifies performance mapping methods of these products for building simulation.
