Paving Industry Manager

is expected is expected to manage Blanchard’s entire paving division directly for sales and in partnership with the product support division the parts and service portion. You will be focused on developing wholistic paving solutions that are focused on serving our customers and delivering an exceptional experience throughout their ownership period aligned with the company’s vision, values, and mission. As the Paving Industry Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue, market share, and gross profit while building strong relationships with customers and industry partners.

• Develop, establish, and monitor both the short-term and long-term plans that are comprehensive and realistic to effectively support all Paving division goals.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow paving revenue and market share in South Carolina.
• Identify opportunities for expansion and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
• Forecast and manage inventory levels to ensure a consistent supply to meet the growing demand of the paving business.
• Collaborate with the product support team to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and support. This will include heavy customer interaction for both sales and service-related opportunities and issues.
• Partner with parts and service to ensure we have the inventory of parts and training necessary to support our customers fleets of paving equipment.
• Partner with the Blanchard rental team to forecast and grow the paving rental fleet.
• Manage a complete P&L for parts, service and sales in the paving business.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities as well as partner with suppliers to ensure Blanchard is best positioned to grow in sales and rental.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and initiatives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the paving division team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the paving industry while also participating and engaging in industry and association related events and activities.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in the paving or equipment business, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue and market share growth.
• Strategically oriented with a detailed knowledge of products, services, and markets that Blanchard Cat sells machines into.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship building skills.
• Strong writing, presentation meeting facilitation skills.
• Well-developed communications skills; able to clearly and concisely express technical information (or data) to non-technical associates, peers, and senior management.
• Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 required with experience utilizing data visualization software preferred.
• Ability to achieve excellent performance in individual and team environments.
• Demonstrated ability for on-time performance in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be self-motivated and team oriented, capable of managing time, priorities, and operates well under pressure with little supervision.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  
  
  

Working Conditions

• The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside throughout the year.
• Travel 40% of the time throughout the Blanchard CAT territory, as well as outside of the Blanchard CAT territory when needed.
• Position requires employee to be physically present at job site location.
• Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
