📌 TIP: Apply anyways! Don't have direct professional experience - let's see what you do have: projects, previous work experience, motivation, your unique set of experiences. Job descriptions, as useful as they are, are sometimes wish lists. My recommendation: apply to roles that ask for up to 3 years of experience because honestly, MOST companies are not sure who they will hire and are open to multiple levels of engineers and designers.

I would never negotiate my salary before going to these sites first:   1/ RepVue (https://lnkd.in/g7gebrYv)   Who's it for: experienced sales reps & newbies looking for tech sales jobs   Why I like it: companies get scored based on peer feedback, know which companies are hitting their numbers (or not), see what reps are making from $60K/yr. to $1M+/yr.   2/ Levels.fyi   Who's it for: mostly techies, especially software engineers   Why I like it: Detailed compensation data for different job levels, locations, and companies. They also highlight unique benefits a company has and assign a $ value to them.   3/ Comparably   Who's it for: Originally popular with people in tech, now expanded to all industries   Why I like it: You can compare salaries and benefits with others in your industry, and as a bonus, they do "Best Company For…" awards for categories like Diversity, Leadership, Women, and more.   4/ Elpha   Who's it for: Women in tech and startups   Why I like it: Over 8,500 reported salaries you can access. It's also a community of women supporting each other in their careers, with discussions on salary, career advice, and more.   5/ Fishbowl   Who's it for: Professionals interested in large employers like Google, Deloitte, and Accenture   Why I like it: They have several salary 'bowls' you can access for discussions on compensation, negotiations, and raises for your role/industry.   6/ Salary.com   Who's it for: Anyone looking for salary information across different industries   Why I like it: Provides salary data, a personal salary report, and has a cost of living calculator.   7/ Glassdoor   Who's it for: Job seekers across all industries   Why I like it: While I question the quality of their written reviews, I've always found their salary information and salary estimator tool helpful.   8/ Payscale   Who's it for: Anyone seeking data-backed salary information and career advice.   Why I like it: provides salary tools to help you understand what you should be earning based on your specifics like geo, experience, what the role involves, etc.   9/ H1BdataInfo   Who's it for: International professionals looking for work visa sponsorship   Why I like it: Access millions of H1B salaries from official data disclosed by the US Dept of Labor by company, job title, and location.   10/ Bureau of Labor Statistics   Who's it for: Those looking for government-verified, industry-wide salary data.   Why I like it: their "Wage Data" tool offers trusted, unbiased wage information for roles & locations based on employer data.   --   When researching salaries, it's good to have multiple data points from multiple sources.   That way you get a more accurate picture of a comp range for a role.   Good luck out there. #jobsearch #jobinterviews #salary
