Collaboration, resource generation, and data sharing are critical components for advancing discoveries. Thank you, Verily, for your partnership and for all of the hard work that was put into the CRN Cloud, a collaborative data-sharing platform that provides researchers worldwide with the opportunity to reveal new insights related to neurodegeneration.
We are proud to partner with Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s | ASAP on the newly launched ASAP CRN Cloud, a groundbreaking data-sharing platform available to the entire Parkinson’s Disease research community. Created in collaboration with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, DNAstack and DataTecnica LLC, the tool includes a unique dataset of human postmortem-derived brain samples for analysis. ASAP CRN Cloud uses Verily Viewpoint Workbench, a collaborative environment where scientists worldwide can securely access, analyze and share multimodal Parkinson’s data, in order to advance understanding of the disease and accelerate research. We are excited to launch the ASAP CRN Cloud, a data-sharing tool designed to advance #ParkinsonsDisease research by allowing researchers to share, access, and work directly with other experts to distill discoveries. We developed this tool in collaboration with our implementation partner, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and our technical partners at Verily, DNAstack, and DataTecnica LLC. Currently featuring a unique set of sequencing data from over 150 donors, the CRN Cloud dataset offers the potential for unprecedented insights into #neurodegeneration. The database will continue to expand, with 629 donors contributing to the final harmonized dataset. Read our blog to learn more about the CRN Cloud: https://bit.ly/3VUMlO0

This month, we are celebrating Daisuke Kase as our June #OpenScience Champion. Daisuke worked with CatalystNeuro to ensure that #neurophysiology datasets from Team Strick were open-source and accessible. As a result, Team Strick was the first CRN team to utilize our CatalystNeuro partnership to upload a public #data set to the DANDI Archive, as well as code to help other teams convert similar data. Thank you, Daisuke!
