Having evaluated and reviewed over 150 digital health devices and services; and staying abreast of emerging trends, I have quite an experience in the diverse wearable options available for various body areas. In this infographic, I summarized the vast potential of wearable health technologies to contribute to patients’ care and especially medical decision-making by showing what vital signs and health parameters those digital health technologies could measure and on what body parts. While smartwatches and fitness trackers are pretty common nowadays, the infographic features some less common devices too. Do you use any of them? Have I missed anything? Please let me know!

"Around a year ago, I was looking for a way to improve my #health and stop myself from going stir-crazy while working from #home. I started #walking 10,000 #steps every day and it had a huge impact on my #wellbeing. To my surprise, it's something I've stuck with and it's improved my life in many ways." #wellness #mentalhealth #fitness #weightloss #medtech #digitalhealth #mhealth #wearables #trackers
I've been walking 10,000 steps every day for the past year—here's why I think it's the best thing you can do for your health

When it comes healthcare, rural Americans face many challenges getting access to the care they need due to their proximity to experts and facilities. As the healthcare industry evolves and becomes more specialized, that gap continues to widen. Dopl Technologies and T-Mobile have paired up to help break those barriers thanks to the use of telerobotics and #5G connectivity! 👇 https://lnkd.in/g8PDPUmG

Digital Health | Patient-Centricity | Healthcare Innovation </> Business Development Director at Dawn Health - launching SaMD products for life science companies
Objective measurement in #healthcare seems so obvious. Yet many parameters are captured completely subjectively. Take multiple sclerosis as an example: most #patients are asked in 6 months intervals how they have been doing in order to determine their disease status (among other parameters). Clever #healthtech could make a difference here. Take some recent research from ETH Zürich, Universitätsspital Zürich, and University of Zurich who explored how smartphone and #wearable data could identify disease severity, disability, and fatigue. Using #AI, they arrived at meaningful results that could help optimize treatments via these simple measures. “This new approach gives MS sufferers a straightforward way of collecting reliable and clinically useful long-term data as they go about their day-to-day lives. The researchers expect that this type of data can lead to better treatments and more effective disease management techniques […]. What’s more, evaluating this patient data lets the experts verify the effectiveness of different treatments.”
