Climate change | Biodiversity| Journalism| Environmental activist| Scientific Researcher at Climate Fact Checks
Greta Thunberg once said, "We cannot solve the climate crisis without including youth voices and perspectives." It matters hence youth have the power to raise awareness, mobilize communities, and finding sustainable solutions from their fresh ideas. I am happy to say that, I was able to talk to the responsible persons in chairs of Ministry of environment and CSO to get the support of the youth in the decision/ policy-making process of Sri Lanka in relation to #climatechange! This will be a new experience for the government too because the youth community does not involve much in SL like other countries do. Anyway we hope that there will be some fruitful work in future. Sri Lanka is highly vulnerable to the adverse impacts of climate change. Adapting to climate change, is becoming a routine and necessary component of planning at all levels. The National Adaptation Plan (NAP) 2016-2025 is a key instrument in identifying adaptation needs and developing and implementing strategies and programs to address those needs. The Climate Change Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment, via the delivery partner, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), is currently in the process of revising the NAP 2016-2025 under the GCF-funded NAP Readiness Support Project. The NAP 2016-2025 recognized the establishment of a Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) forum to support climate actions that have grassroots level operations. It will function as a supporting body for Sector Climate Cells (SCC) and the National Working Group and Provincial Climate Institutions being established parallelly. #ClimateAction #youthinclimateaction #GGGI #ClimateChange

I’m happy to share this The Smart Driving License System project I worked on. Developed to revolutionize the way police officers and public sector entities handle driving license and vehicle information, this system is a game-changer. With our app, police officers can effortlessly scan the QR code on a driver's license to retrieve all relevant details instantly. Additionally, by entering the vehicle number, officers can access comprehensive vehicle information on the spot. Demo Video - https://lnkd.in/gHVRUJpA Key Features: QR Code Scanning: Instantly access driving license details. Vehicle Information Lookup: Get complete vehicle information by entering the vehicle number. Fines Management: Police officers can issue fines directly through the app. Online Fine Payment: Drivers can conveniently pay their fines via our secure web portal. Our tech stack includes: Mobile App: Flutter Frontend Web: HTML, CSS, JavaScript Backend & Database: Node.js and MongoDB This project wouldn't have been possible without the collaborative efforts of our talented team: Dinesh Manchanayaka Chamudi Senanayake Mohamed Baseer Mohamed Fasal Jayani Kodithuwakku Explore more about our project on GitHub: https://lnkd.in/g76K5fN4 #TechInnovation #SmartSystems #DrivingLicense #PoliceTech #IoT #AI #Flutter #Nodejs #MongoDB #TeamWork #Innovation Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gBzgiAkF
