Descended from Frederick III and also from Queen Victoria, he married Princess Mafalda, second daughter of King Victor Emmanuel of Italy. Internationally educated, practising architect and cultivated dilettante. Early Fascist and Nazi Party member, SA Gruppenfuhrer. (English)
