Guardian Newsroom: Election results special

Join our panel of Guardian journalists for unrivalled analysis of the general election results, live in London and via the livestream.

Date: Friday 5 July 2024
Times:
7.30pm-9pm (BST)

After six weeks of an intense, sometimes chaotic election campaign, voters are about to make their decision. Do they extend the Tories’ hold on power after a long 14 years? Or are the opinion polls right in predicting a historic and sweeping Labour victory?

If they are, the consequences could be huge and enduring. A new government will find itself under almost instant pressure to deliver the change it promised - to bring tangible improvements and to answer some of the fundamental questions our nation has put off too long.

The Guardian executive editor, Opinion Hugh Muir, will chair our panel of Guardian columnists and writers including John Crace, Gaby Hinsliff, Jonathan Freedland, and Zoe Williams. Join us as we discuss and analyse the results of a momentous election - and explore what happens next.

You can join this event in-person at Hall One, Kings Place, 90 York Way, London, N1 9AG, or via the livestream. Tickets are £32 to attend the event in person, or £15 to watch it online. See tickets for further details.
