地主國[[智利國家足球隊|智利]]與[[阿根廷國家足球隊|阿根廷]]在決賽碰頭，兩隊在正規時間與延長賽時間以0-0平手，最後智利在[[互射十二碼]]以 4–1 擊敗阿根廷，首次奪得美洲盃冠軍，這是智利自1916年首屆美洲盃參賽以來，第一次獲得美洲盃冠軍。冠軍智利並將代表南美足協出賽[[2017年洲際國家盃]]。
