إيدا منيرفا تاربيل (5 من نوفمبر 1857م - 6 من يناير 1944م) هي معلمة ومؤلفة وصحفية أمريكية. وكانت معروفة بأنها واحدة من كبار الصحفيين "الكاشفين للفضائح" خلال العصر التقدمي، وهو عمل معروف في العصور الحديثة باسم "الصحافة الاستقصائية". كما كتبت سلسلة مجلات وسير ذاتية عديدة بارزة. وقد اشتهرت بكتابها الذي ألفته في عام 1904م تحت عنوان تاريخ شركة ستاندارد أويل (The History of the Standard Oil Company)، والذي كان ترتيبه الخامس في قائمة 1999م التي أعدّتها جامعة نيويورك لأفضل مائة عمل للصحافة الأمريكية في القرن العشرين. وبذلك أصبحت السيدة الأولى التي تتناول شركة ستاندرد أويل. وقد سبقها مباشرةً في هذا الخصوص هنري ديماريست لويد. كما بدأت عملها الذي يتناول هذه الشركة بعد أن طالب محرروها في مجلة مكلور (McClure's Magazine) بإعداد خبر عن أحد الاتحادات الاحتكارية.
