English: USA-227, also known as NRO launch 27 (NROL-27 or simply L-27), is a National Reconnaissance Office communications satellite named Quasar 17 and nicknamed "Gryphon". It was orbited by a Delta IV M+(4,2) rocket, launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Space Launch Complex 37B on 11 March 2011.
