Summary

edit
Description
English: Located in the Silwan Necropolis, the 8th century BCE tomb, the popular name comes from biblical traditions regarding Solomon's Egyptian wife as well as the sepulcher's Egyptianizing architectural motifs. Carved from the limestone bedrock of the Mount of Olives, the monolith is known in Arabic as the "Cave of the Saw" (مغارة المنشار). Fragments of a paleo-Hebrew inscription can still be seen on the upper left-side of the entrance.
