This file was initially tagged by Erick Soares3 as Copyvio (SD) and the most recent rationale was: F1 |2=While it might fit the bill for PD in Brazil under Template:PD-Brazil-Photo, I'm now quite sure that it wouldn't fit for US PD.  Delete:
1-) it was first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days)? Yes
2-) it was first published before 1 March 1989 without copyright notice or before 1964 without copyright renewal or before the source country established copyright relations with the United States? No
3-) it was in the public domain in its home country (Brazil) on the URAA date (1 January 1996)? No.
And the template says that it need to fit all 3 options before being PD in the US. Erick Soares3 (talk) 18:18, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And how do you know about the first and the second points? Yann (talk) 20:40, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann On the first point: I couldn't find any reference about this launch in the American media. On the second point: it couldn't have been published before 1989 because the image was taken in 2 November 1997. Erick Soares3 (talk) 12:42, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be glad to let the (good) VLS-1 launch images here, but I can't see how since (as the template says), it couldn't be public domain in the US. Erick Soares3 (talk) 12:44, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
