English: Gulf of Thailand (June 24, 2005) - The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) frigate HTMS Phutthayotfa Chulalok (FF 461) leads a formation of U.S. Navy and RTN ships that includes, in order, USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60), HTMS Taksin (FF 422), and HTMS Rattanakosin (FF 441). The ships were in formation together as part of the underway phase of exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand. CARAT is a regularly scheduled series of bilateral military training exercises with several Southeast Asia nations designed to enhance the interoperability of the respective sea services.
