Not sure if this YouTube account has the right to release this film under a free license. Yann (talk) 12:35, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep This is an official channel, of course they have. Many of their videos are CCBY and this and many other ones have had that license for a long time. It has over 10 million subscribers and clearly is an official channel. The other official MrBean channel also has other videos not just the Classic Mr Bean ones (plus parts of the movie); it also has full episodes. Maybe somebody could ask for some more info here, there, or somewhere else here but it doesn't seem necessary. Prototyperspective (talk) 12:45, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It would be great if somebody could contact them. If nobody does so soon, I will probably try to reach out via Twitter and Youtube. Prototyperspective (talk) 09:34, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Twitter account can't be messaged and I couldn't find a mail address on the website but I will contact the youtube account/s today – it will take probably some time until I get a reply. Prototyperspective (talk) 09:56, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can't contact the youtuber either but I asked in a comment here. But note that the channel that this video is from shows up under "More Mr Bean & Rowan Atkinson" in the main official youtube channel linked from the official mrbean site, along with that the video has been up with that license for a very long time and has millions of views, everything clearly indicates the video can and has been released under CCBY. I think Tiger Aspect productions have the rights so maybe contact them here but I don't know if a person responsible for the subject will read it and reply that route. I don't think the licensing needs to be doubted but I see how for such a big media production it would be nice to have better clarity. Prototyperspective (talk) 21:15, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've sent an email to Tiger Aspect Productions Limited but do think that it's quite clear that the videos are actually CCBY since the channels seems to be official:
      • the channel has millions of subscribers and the videos have millions of views and have had this license for a long time unchanged
      • the channel seems official in every way and there's nothing that suggests they aren't actually CCBY
      • the channel is linked from the official channel alongside other MrBean subchannels
