Voice of America captioned the photo as "Social Media", implying that they didn't create the work themselves, so it doesn't fall into PD as a US government work. Likely copyrighted by the original photographer. TheCatalyst31 (talk) 21:30, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Also, it's fake and/or distorted somehow. Look at the hand and background text. Closed Limelike Curves (talk) 23:26, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete - {{PD-US}} is definitely the wrong template. The image is wide spread on the web (as it became a meme) and is the view of the olympic brodcast. I heavily doubt that the source really is allowed to reuse the image. As long as nobody cares, the website can keep the image on their page, but as we only licence freely licenced conent on Wikimedia Commons and this image is not freely licenced, we can not keep this image. --D-Kuru (talk) 20:56, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
