English: The Daimler Scout Car was a British light fast 4WD reconnaissance vehicle also used in the liaison role during the Second World War. One of three designs submitted by British AFV manufacturers to a British requirement, it acquired the nickname of "Dingo", the name of the rival Alvis design, an unrelated vehicle. In addition to the Alvis Dingo there was an unrelated Australian Dingo (scout car).
