English: This category is intended to list all microprocessor models of which free media exist on Commons. This allows you to check which models are (not) available. The category can also be used for maintenance purposes etc. (e.g. to add categories on the respective microprocessor page), or where, for example, die shots, back pictures etc. are still missing. It also shows the huge number of processor models.

• Notes:

1. The terms microprocessor and CPU (Central Processing Unit) are usually used synonymously, but are not the same thing. A CPU can be a microprocessor, but does not have to be
2. Possible microprocessors are: CPUs, GPUs, FPUs, microcontrollers, NPUs or coprocessors
3. Microprocessors usually consist of one or a few very complex integrated circuits (IC), which are located on at least one or more dies, and a housing and connecting elements to the mainboard
4. Microprocessors usually have the following: Programmable parts with simple instructions to change/manipulate/calculate binary sequences, etc, cache, cores, transistors, CMOS, etc.
5. The terms microprocessor and integrated circuit are usually used interchangeably, but are not the same thing. An integrated circuit is usually a component of a microprocessor.
