Description
中文（臺灣）：濁水溪是灌溉嘉南平原的重要水源,也是日月潭的水源,中央山脈攔截的旺盛水氣,降落在山區溶解了山裡的有機物,礦物質為嘉南平原的灌溉帶來豐盛的養分,種出了良好的農作物 在上游,同樣的河水也滋養著山上的土地,吊橋將左岸的作物得以快速運送到主要道路,在切割嚴重的地形,特別適合維持部落與部落間的的往來與經濟交易,因此在台灣,特別容易在山區看到吊橋的公路設施,當然這幾年在觀光的推波下,吊橋更被賦予提升部落旅遊價值的最快速公共道路建設,靠近濁水溪上游的河道吊橋周邊林道也是台灣西電東送的主要電力傳送道路,濁水溪除了灌溉的天職更擔負了地形上能使西電東送的地形優勢
