Object history
Deutsch: Die blaue Farbe des Göpels entspricht der Ableitung des Namens Aach und den zahlreichen Quellen im Bereich des Ortes. Der Apfelzweig weist auf die große Bedeutung der Mosel-Apfelkulturen (Aacher Viez) für die Wirtschaft der Gemeinde in der Vergangenheit hin. Ein weiterer wichtiger Erwerbszweig war die Steinindustrie. Aacher Steinbrüche lieferten u. a. die Steine für das Koblenzer Schloß. Der Adler (wie auch der Goldgrund) steht für das Bewußtsein der Bevölkerung, in einem Dorf zu leben, das nicht der kurfürstlichen Herrschaft, sondern der Abtei St. Irminen unterstand. Unter abgesenktem, silbernem Schildhaupt, darin zwei schräggekreuzte rote Schlüssel, in Grün ein silberner, stilisierter, römischer Portikus mit vier Säulen.
