Der WLM-Countdown hat begonnen

Hallo MB-one,

nun ist es wieder soweit. Vom 1. bis zum 30. September findet zum fünften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Im Mittelpunkt steht bekanntlich das Fotografieren von Kulturdenkmalen. Du hast an einem der letzten Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen und wir freuen uns auf weitere Bildbeiträge von Dir.

Viele interessante Motive, nicht nur Burgen und Schlösser, sondern auch Fachwerkhäuser, Brücken und Brunnen, technische und Industriedenkmale und vieles mehr gibt es noch zu fotografieren, damit sie in der Wikipedia dokumentiert werden können. Nützliche Tipps findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite. Du kannst gerne individuell Fototouren durchführen oder aber Dich auch Gruppentouren anschließen. Besonders freuen wir uns auf Fotos, die Lücken in den Denkmallisten der Wikipedia ausfüllen.

Darüber hinaus kannst Du auch an der Arbeit der Jury teilnehmen, die Mitte Oktober die Fotos bewerten und die Gewinner ermitteln wird. Bis zum 15. August kannst du hier Deine Bewerbung einreichen.

wrong car on your white alpina picture

hi, your white alpina b7 is no alpina i think. i saw that car live in berlin. on the rear back is "alpina b7 biturbo", but a real e65 b7 doesn´t have biturbo on the rear end, it´s just "alpina b7". i´m pretty sure that car is just a replica. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.232.210.201 (talk • contribs)

Pile of pens

Hi MB-one,
Thank you very much for adding your pile of pens to the NIND!
There seems to be a significant color shift between some shots, such as File:NIND Pen pile ISO800.jpg and File:NIND Pen pile ISO1600.jpg, can you check that the white balance is set to the same value on all files in Lightroom?
Some shifts as the ISO increase is normal loss of color resolution and it's good to teach a neural network about it, but a different white balance would teach it to wrongly change the input colors.
Also would it be ok if I rename them to NIND Pen-pile ISO*.jpg (without a space on the name) for easier processing?
I look forward to using your pile of pens!

I saw the color shift as well and was confused at first. But upon inspection, I saw, that all images are set to the same white balance settings in Lightroom (3050K; + 1 Tint).

Please feel free to rename the files for your convenience.

@Paris Orlando: Thanks for reminding me about that review. Considering, that we are all volunteers, I certainly don't expect anyone to review my images right away. 24 hours is not a very long time to wait in this context. If you want to make me aware of a change to an image, that I reviewed, pinging me is generally a good idea. That said, there are still reasons, why I wouldn't react right away. So please do not expect anything.

We're all volunteers, I used ping, if you're busy, like everyone in here, you can not block a nomination. Despite the ping you made other contributions but you have not checked. I do not expect anything if you do not do anything, if you make requests on reviews then you have to go back to check, at least I do it for education.
