@Maryam.a.alnajjar: It's the license that is wrong. it cannot be {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} Unless you are the copyright holder for Gulf, and that would have to be verified by COM:OTRS. I suspect it should be {{PD-textlogo}}. unless you know better. Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 16:17, 31 March 2019 (UTC)

@Ronhjones: Actually we have some concerns of making this logo as free license, it's written that users can use our logo even for commercial product, or they can modify it, so can someone act as they are Gulf Today and use our logo in their own websites, am i right?

@Maryam.a.alnajjar: Correct. If you are not sure you want it here, I can delete it. Microsoft does have its logo that same way - File:Microsoft logo (2012).svg - of course that is also protected as a trademark, which can restrict some re-use. Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 17:14, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

This is not a copyright violation of some UK newspaper. It's a quite well-known image (I recognised it immediately) available at [1] which is out of copyright in Australia (as documented in the meta-data there) as it is photo taken before 1955 in Australia. The problem is that it was uploaded by a new user who probably did not know how to correctly licence it as PD-Australia as that isn't an option that is offered. Can this be unspeedily-deleted please. @Medizinkommunikation: Copyright is automatically "All Rights Reserved" when created. There is no Creative Commons license on those links - in fact one clearly says "Copyright All Rights Reserved © 2014". Either there must be an explicit "Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0" on the web page or you need to go to COM:OTRS to donate the permission. Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 14:48, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jialxv: If you do substantial work then the picture is a derivative, but you hold the copyright for the extra work carried out - and therefore you can apply whatever license you want.Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 17:53, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

@Jialxv: Just edit and state it's a hand coloured derivative of File:Professor_Georgiana_Goddard_King_at_Bryn_Mawr_College_(ca_1910).png (put a ":" before the "File" to stop the image showing), no need for extra uploads, just edit the description Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 18:22, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

@Ettenrocal: Scroll down to the bottom of the page - the logo there says CC (and in small letters) BY NC SA. NC is not allowed here.

@Ettenrocal: Correct, we are not and never had been a "sharing" site, we can leave that to the social media. We have always been a full re-use depositary of images - see Commons:Project_scope#Aim_of_Wikimedia_Commons.
